Sorry to bore you all but I can't turn my allow access to locations button on in my Internet Explorer settings on my Windows Phone. I searched Microsoft and Windows Phone help with no success. The button is greyed out. If anyone has a solution to my problem I would be very grateful to hear it ta |

You tried to access it from settings? It might be urned off there, or it's possible you just aren't connected to the internet right now? My ifrst thoughts.
Found this:

I know how to change it through IE and my phone settings. The problem is it's set to off and the button is greyed out, which means I can't turn it back on. I don't know why it turned itself off. I'm thinking a back to factory settings may be needed. |

My windows phone just has the overall control from the settings page. Individual pages may ask for permission too.
I think you'd said op that you've checked settings though - presumably set to on.
If you've not updated your phone, it's worth a check, as a new update may fix it. 8.1 works well for me. Again via the Settings page.
I'll hunt around to see if there's anything else that may be related. Perhaps the Opera mini browser would support it working?
Quite a few of us on here use wonderful Windows phones, so others may have a few ideas. |

I've updated my phone,it updates automatically any way. I tried Opera and had the same problem. I can't find any settings for browsers, only on each browser's settings. All I can find online is PC help, not phone help. |

Sounds like you've got your gps switched off or something.
If the option is greyest out, that means the setting had been disabled at a higher level - so preventing your ie from having this choice.
So the answer will lie above /outside ie.
Don't have windows phone so can't say much more sorry |
