Have you ever seen a movie and thought it would have been better if some things were changed?

Here's a good example for the horror movie Darkness falls. This movie should have:

Kept the original tooth fairy design

Had the tooth fairy kill her victims by ripping their teeth out so that it applies to her curse

Added more backstory to the town and characters

Toned down the jump scares

and

Added more atmosphere

What movies do you think should have had changed?

Prometheus. It SHOULD have been amazing but was, in fact, ridiculous.

I have another one. Paranormal Activity 3. This should have:

Had the stupid witch cult scrapped

Had the footage seen in the trailers restored

Made the grandmother a Satanist

and

Left the demon nameless

The Golden Compass, which should have been Northern Lights. I don't think they're even bothering with the other two as it was so bad.

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

Sequels are too easy a target.

Rage and Chaos.

Two films I didn't spot the twist, but the endings could have been written by Agatha Christie: somehow not quite right.

Sphere

If I remember rightly it was some kind of alien object that could make your worst nightmares come true and all it ever really did was make a few snakes and a squid appear lol Talk about a let down

Lord of the Rings- I really need to sit down one day and edit out some of the pointless, tedious shite that had me nodding off in the cinema

NW London

Once Upon a Time in America is regarded as being a flawed masterpiece.

Gangs of New York would have worked much better as a TV series liked Boardwalk Empire or the Sopranos.

Ok , I'm gonna say it.

This book was for kids, so fuck knows why we got all these adults 'discovering ' and 'loving' it in 21st century.

Like suddenly things are infantilized - you get loads of adults loving stuff made for children.

Harry Jotter, lord of rings etc etc

And don't mention adult coloring books - that's too worrying to discuss

It wasn't for kids! The Hobbit was but most of Tolkien's works were very much for adults.

The Iceman, a story of Richard Kluklinskys life starring Micheal Shannon, such high hopes and it was absolutely terrible

Titz Towers, North Notts

Dune - they had a superb book, threw money at the film and ended up with something much less than the sum of its' parts. If it were remade properly (not counting the mini-series) as 3 films, it could be up there with the best.

The spice must flow!!!

Absolutely! One of my all time favourite books. It could be spectacular on screen with the right production and screen play.

The showdown in the park was pretty epic though. Cameo appearances from a few Big stars

Casino Royale....the 60's travesty with David Niven and Woody Allen.Ridiculous and stupid.

....and Titanic....SPOILER ALERT....why did the ship have to sink at the end? It put a real downer on my evening.

...finally Citizen Kane.....I wanted to see the full meaning of the phrase "Rosebud"
