does anyone actually read profiles?????

We have had 4 friend requests to all by people we have never spoken to... I'm sure it states on our profile let's chat before becoming friends.... some of our pics are private so it stops the fakes jst waking over them or stealing um xx |

Yes they do.
I have i don't do dirty chat on mine and i got asked if i'd like to do something different for a change and have dirty chat with him.
So yeah they read it, some people do not care. |

Our experience so far is not many do, our profile states, we do not accept winks or friend invites, but we receive them daily, and last week after receiving one we sent a reply asking guy to read profile before sending friend invite and his reply was, F*** you its people like you time wasting who are up your own arses that don't meet and spoil this site, strange thing was we have several meets he had one, a bitter individual me thinks |

I think most do read them, but only take in the bits they like
I have had married guys message me saying how much they enjoyed my profile and asking to meet and I always ask them if they also enjoyed the bit where It says 'you must be single'

I was polite on my profile regarding married men but gave up and changed the sentence to include the word cheaters |

To be fair, it says 'you SHOULD be single' (and I'm sure there are times even Mrs ddc thinks 'I should be single'!)

I have loads of smokers that message me and say the same.
It only says twice on my profile - once in the summary of what I'm looking for and once in the text under 'deal breakers' - that I won't meet smokers.
Coincidentally, a fair proportion of them gave up a month or two ago. And yet, in two months time their profile will still say smoker. |

I use the word cheating because I will meet people playing with the knowledge and agreement of their partner, but not those cheating. |

Some do but it seems most don't. I don't meet married/attached guys or smokers and only meet local guys who accommodate as I don't. This is all clear in the first few sentences of my profile but I often get messages from people I'm not looking for. A lot of time would be saved if people took the extra minute or so to read a profile. Then there are the ones that do read it but message anyway hoping you'd make an exception. Why of course, I didn't bother to write all that for nothing!! |

Yes I read profiles and I don't send out messages to those whose preferences i don't meet, there is no point. Some profiles do come across quite militant and I understand why but those ones also put me on the back foot a little. I feel that person would just be trying to find something wrong with me regardless when a profile is like that  |

Yes your profile is quite clear and I am sure lots of people fail to read and take in the information properly. Having read your profile "K" your pics are superb you have a lovely figure so I couldn't resist fabbing them mmmm you are a very sexy lady. David |

I always read them.
Firstly because it gives me an idea as to what the the person expects or wants
And secondly to see if there's any common interests (and not just sexually).
