We all know that one person who is so stuck in their ways or does random shit that doesn't make sense!
The reason I'm saying this is I have a mate who drives about 8 miles from his house to a petrol station because he will save 2p a litre from the petrol station that is literally 100 yards from his house!
No matter how hard I explain to him that it will cost him more in fuel for his 16 mile round trip, than what he's saving, he just won't listen!!
He carries on like the oil companies are out to get him personally
Does anyone else have examples of people who do this sort of crazy shit? |

Fur coat and no nickers on a windy day- would that work?
Perhaps someone could do a fuel calculator, to highlight the distance limits that are economical for fuel and Sara lee savings. I take it that the driver didn't buy a solitary litre of fuel per trip. Even at 50 litres, it's saved just £1.
Fuel price matching did perplex me, when garages just matched very local competitors - regularly covering hundreds of miles allowed me to buy most economically, without additional mileage or cost. Around here, it can be nested 20p a litre saved, so about £10 per fill. So saving enough for a few Sara Lees face fillings. |

My ex bf used to drive all the way from Gloucester to Tescos in Cheltenham and fill his tank every month as it was the cheapest place. Thing is though, his work was like barely 10 mins from his house but he used to drive there |
