When I get a message along the lines of:
I would of loved to .........
All I want to do us reply
"have"
But it seems rude...... but it really annoys me.... but it shouldn't... But it does.
Anybody else have petty issue problems at 2am? |

We see it as a filter. Obviously this is an informal forum and we all make typos and the odd grammatical slip, but how a person writes, the language and grammar they use etc., are a reflection of their personality and demeanour. |

"You're not allowed to moan about incorrect grammar or spelling here. It violates the unwritten forum rules. "
Pah. I violate 3 unwritten forum rules before breakfast.
And I don't usually even eat breakfast.

The only reason they are unwritten is to avoid any grammatical errors. |

This is the second time today that 'of/have' has been raised.
I do wonder if people switch their brains off, when talking, sometimes. I know should've sounds a bit like should of, but has entirely different meaning and is inappropriate use.
Our language has an effect upon others, so we may as well use it to create the one we'd intend it to.
It wouldn't alone be a deal breaker for a meet. And especially as my own written English has become degraded - I often write for simplicity, making lazy short cuts in text. |

I suppose that in a free society, or in an open forum such as this one, people have the right to express themselves in a way that mirrors their personality, their use of a free education and their approach to life in general.
Similarly I have the right to completely ignore them, on the basis that if they can't be bothered to write nicely then they probably won't be bothered to do anything else well either...

This one always reminds me of a chap at school who fell foul of the headmaster, who quite rightly was a stickler for perfection when it came to correct punctuation, spelling and grammar.
Andy always wrote "of" instead of "have", so Mr Cooper made him write out "I would have passed my English test if I had written have instead of of" 100 times |

One thing I can assure the pedants amongst you is this . The way a person writes / spells / uses the English language , has no bearing on their ability to enjoy and give pleasure sexually .
So if you feel the written word is more important than sexual satisfaction , by all means continue your crusade .
If on the other hand you are here to enjoy a variety of sexual experiences to remember , try giving some of the less scholar like folk a chance . You may well be surprised |

All depends. Some people want an attraction on a mental level and not just purely physical before they get jiggy with it. We all have different needs. |
