Good afternoon / evening Fabbers and Friends.
Well goodness me what a day!
It started so brightly, a lovely wander with The Pooch. We chatted about cabbages and kings, as the sun gently warmed up the welsh countryside. The birds sang and the trees dappled the sun light around us.
I had planned to have a very enjoyable lunch and conversation with someone, sharing their time and superb wit. A jolly banter and chuckle, with good food to boot.
I bathed and donned my most becoming attire, groomed and perfumed. The Pooch was impressed and gave me , blimey Taff you scrub up well sort of look. For him that’s praise indeed. Before he slipped back in to his studies of Neolithic mans impact on his environment. He is a jolly studious Pooch.
With my stomach full of butterflies I headed to my liaison. Whilst pootling along and some may say an injudicious pace, I felt something was amiss with my motorcarage. There was also the distinct aroma of burning! Pulling over to the head shoulder to my horror smoke was billowing from my rear wheels. My brakes had over headed and were on the verge of locking up .
My hope for the day dashed I contacted my luncheon partner and sadly apologised for my state. She was the gracious lady I have always known her to be , her philosophical outlook being your safe that’s all that matters.
I managed to nurse my car to the garage and their it still abides, I trudged home over three miles before realising I had left my house key on the fob with my car keys. I about faced and headed back .
It seemed the day had been utterly ruined until, a phone call from my lunch date and a wonderful conversation that followed. It made my day so much the better.
Today’s positives from a negatives are
I have wonderful friends, I did not crash and I had a lovely conversation full of laughter and friendship.
So chaps my question to you is what negative have you turned into a positive

Well I woke up today with a stinking cold and wanted to go back to bed and die. Instead I got up changed my bed and did all my washing. I am much looking forward to having a shower later tonight and slipping into a nice clean bed, dosed up to the eyeballs and waking tomorrow to Pay Day and weekend with Mr C. Miss C. Xx |

Well my house is covered in plastic and dust, but when they finish tomorrow it means I've completed the last major job on my house, and then will have the last old fire taken out later on in the year, and my new economical boiler all working for the winter |

Knackered after a day spent shepherding sprogs around Chester zoo
But I'm now walking the hound across the fresh cut fields, watching the house martens dancing in the sky
Could go for a pint right about now |

Stepped on kindle last week, poor thing didn't stand a chance.
But the £40 replacement second hand one came with a beautiful purple cover, huge improvement on my dog eared denim one! And now I have a spare charger for the caravan. |

I had to work late, which then overran some more but whilst walking home I was heartily amused by the some sinister ducks and then walked past a pub just as a mate I haven't seen in ages was about to get a pint so had a cheeky half. If I'd left work on time I would have missed them. |

"My bad day was tuesday.. Hospital appointment for my 3 year cancer check. feeling positive. Found a parking space pulled in but could not open my car door wide enough to get out.. Had to pull out and drive around some more. found another not entirely suitable place. Bought an hour ticket left it with a note explaining why I had to park there with 5 mins to spare. Went in sat for 45 mins Taken in.. All clear on mammogram but he finds im lumpy on the left breast grr .. need ultra sound now.
Left waiting room went out to car got a £60 pound ticket.. went back in to moan and get reception to write that they were running late not my fault. Drive round to another part of hospital to find the parking people on the 2nd floor . Parked up again in multi story. By the time I found the reception desk I was extremely stressed. They had to photo copy my note the ticket I bought etc.. The guy gave me a get out of carpark free. said they would contact me.
Got home made a coffee and a roll took a bite relaxed and realised that a double tooth crown had dislodged and i had swallowed it.
Was a bloody 'orrible day "
Awww Cinn, sounds like a truly horrible day.....postive vibes being sent your way that the week has got better & the ultra sound is clear xx |
