How representative are the forums of Fab as a whole ?

I've read on several occasions that only 1% of members read or contribute to the forums.I have no idea if that's even remotely accurate.That aside,do you think that a good cross section of swingers are represented on here ? |

No...a large percentage here aren't swingers, they just join the site out of curiosity or sexual lust. But that doesn't matter; profoundly the forum is what it is,take it or leave it. |

Cos 20000 is online now for example and maibe just 50 people uses the forum, not many tho. |

I represent me.
I see a cross section of people on the forum I would not meet or engage with in my day to day life. I find that interesting so I keep using the forum.
Whether they represent a particular type or demographic on Fab is neither here nor there. I have noticed that some users appear only on specific boards so the forum is further filtered in that way.

Interesting statistic , I think the forums are a cross section of forum users . We all have certain rooms we like to post in .
We all have differing views and opinions which is healthy.
The forums as can be said for the whole site , is what you make of them.
I enjoy the humour of the forum and i know some may think my postings a tad daft hey ho.

Interesting statistic , I think the forums are a cross section of forum users . We all have certain rooms we like to post in .
We all have differing views and opinions which is healthy.
The forums as can be said for the whole site , is what you make of them.
I enjoy the humour of the forum and i know some may think my postings a tad daft hey ho.

Think they are a cross section of people in general, some you like, some you don't, some are funny some not, the one thing I think they all have in common on the forum is a strong personality and want to be noticed.

Think diamond is right. Forum regulars tend to have Stringer minds on any forum. By stronger I mean more willing to speak it and give an opinion. The other 99% if that statistic is correct just get on with things. For this reason I think that what's expressed in here is not to be taken as a representation of the site as a whole. |

Agreed, wish we had more debate and discussion though ... especially in the London forums, which we are trying to revive... liven up. Its getting there, but there are loads of fabbers in London, and if they are on the forums, they are lurkers |

That's right, wales and scotlands forum have more of a community thing going on, London is just to busy to reply lol. |

Agreed, but then it is up to us to make it something different. Interesting post about mixed race couples on there ... maybe we can avoid the name calling on this one ... I can't always think of a topic, though, to be fair. Not sure if it has to be Londonesque to be on the London forums, but I guess not. |

It's not representative of huge chunks of users. Hundreds milk Shag every night, but as none of those use the forums, he can keep the secret up.
A lot of the chancers are underrepresented too. Those who come and go of linger for fancy a fuck messages that work.

No. The forums on fab attract the same sort of opinionated buffoons that other forum sites attract. (Yes I am aware of the irony and I count myself as an opinionated buffoon) where as the majority of the folks we speak to on fab who don't post here are very much different to the forum crowd.
