UPDATE!
My Eye surgery was cancelled!
This was due to a medical conditioner only diagnosed by my GP this week and which, even at the lowest possible level of infection at present, could possibly be on my bloodstream and affect my eye, especially after surgery.
Whilst the risk is low, the protocols dictate the surgeon cannot perform the surgery. My GP is already aware and will see me next week, hopefully to then contact the surgeons that I'm clear and OK for surgery.
Thoroughly pissed off now but realise the surgeon had to be 100% certain.
