There has been a rapid increase in the number of people joining Fab locally and that's fantastic. But on viewing a lot of these profiles, they contain little or no information. Is it really that much effort to write a bit about yourself or post a picture or 2?
I know people complain that some users don't read profiles, and therefore they question whether it's worth writing one.
Do any of you forumites ever message someone with a blank profile?
Personally I prefer for my mind to have a bit of stimulation before I consider messaging someone, I like people that make an effort.
Some of these blanks are getting verified too, so it's obviously working for them. |

I just skip past profiles that are no interest to me....
When I receive messages from members with uninformative profiles, I simply reply to them with a polite no thanks....
Plenty profiles on that site that match my preference so no point worrying about those which don't....

I just skip over them. If they message, it's 50/50 on whether I'll even reply.

I'm generally not interested in profiles with no blurb. I tend to reply with a no thanks. If someone comes back with a 'why not?' then it very much depends on what mood I'm in or whether I have time/can be bothered responding with helpful hints or tips.
I did it this morning. I'll let you know later if it made a blind but of difference. |

Because they don't know that, think they'll come on here and be knee deep in women within a few hours? Maybe they just want to perv pics or the forum? |

"Personally I like well written informative profiles so I can get the gist of whether we will have a few things in common. I wouldn't message a blank profile as I'd have nothing to go on"

Nah... at home sick with too much time on my hands.
I guess I just think it's nice to be nice when I can be bothered. Not all newbies are eejits, some of them just have no idea how this place works. If they come in here with stupid questions they don't always go away with good advice. If you give someone decent advice and they don't take it then it's clear they're an eejit. |

I did wonder whether it was to look on the forum but then a fair few of them got verified. Also wondered whether they were wives looking for cheating husbands. Also considered they could be single guys trying to verify themselves..... or any of the above |

"I can't actually remember when I wrote a proper profile, it wasn't straight away.

Obviously I do get the ones that don't read it but the ones that do far out way them.

Guess like everything else on here it is down to each person or couple to decide what they put in their profile, etc.
We probably wouldn't message anyone or reply to anyone with a blank profile or generally one with no pictures or verifications but at the same time our profile isn't overly descriptive and we have a limited number of public pics so maybe that's a bit hypocritical?
The exception would probably be if we've met someone at a social or chatted quite a bit on the forums or in the chat rooms which kind of overrides the profile. We often look at profiles when in chat or on the forum though to get a bit of an idea who people are and what they are about. |

People behind the blank profiles always make for the best meets.
It's like sitting on Santa's knee and getting what you needed for Christmas - you win everytime.
No need to ask much, or see pics. Dead fit as they're used to making minimum efforts in real life. You can wear a paper bag, as you may not make their grade.
It's Fab lotto. Treat yourself. |

Sometimes less is more
I don't want to read war and peace
I want a quick idea of what sort of personality they have and a couple of pictures
Some people can say a lot in just a few sentences

As long as they say " No blacks , No Asians " at the top
And insert " any funny word in your message, to show you have read the profile " at the end. The profile is fine with me. |

I know mines short but I'm not looking to attract no one. What I find a little stupid is the profiles that have like one line written but then they fill up the page with disclaimers and legal notices, it's like mate c'mon of all the pictures in all the lands I think yours are safe butt. |
