little house on the praire

To be honest enough people get married on credit, big lush weddings they can't afford then spend years paying it back whether on benefits or not.

It's something I've never been able to get my head around

They can do what they want. How people spend their money isn't of any interest to me.

I don't think they should be forbidden from an extravagant wedding and if they've worked hard to save the money for it then okay...

I wasn't aware that the government dictates the output of Channel 5. My eyes are now opened.

Brilliant, love it

To answer OP no I won't be watching it, and its non of my business what actions other people have

one set of people dictating to another set of people based on ill-informed judgments derived from spoon fed media is a big problem though,

That was Lily.

Jaz thinks that as they are on benefits they should have a wedding suitable for their purpose. Ie local church does the service with the local population on a Sunday. (Small fee maybe?). Following that a small function room and a menu of the day meal with some prosecco for around 30-40 family guests who must pay for their own meal. Only bride and groom get a free meal.

I hate benefit cheats and fraudsters.

I also hate tax avoidance and evasion.

Sometime I get so sick of these stories!

Nope. I get enough "benefit porn" entertainment watching an old school friend on Facebook moan about not getting enough to pay her rent or feed her child but then posts regular updates about her new laptops, phones and tattoos.

I know. We seem to have a generation where people have no sense of priorities, but then again, she never seems to learn.

A few months ago, she boasted about spending £600 on a sleeve tattoo.

The following week she was moaning about being evicted for not paying her rent "because her landlord is a heartless cunt who doesn't care about putting her and her baby on the streets".

"the only thing left is funeral on benefits and benefits the musical"

Hahaha. Seriously though, someone should make that musical.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Don't see the point in getting married and paying loads for one day of your life. I don't think people on benefits should be forced to go without anything anyone else has. Don't see why being poor means you shouldn't have hopes and reams and act on them, don't even see the point in creating poverty in a wealthy country where fixing tax loopholes would help out so much yet no-one cares to fix them.

People who are poor can aspire to have what anyone else has, and you just get told they shouldn't so that they stay poor and feel guilty about having needs and wants of their own. Meanwhile asda (and many other shitty employers) pay less than minimum wages, tax payers top up those wages, and lalala the world is just fine as it is. It's all the benefit claimants fault for being greedy.

What is chanel fives obsession with benefit claimants? These people obviously crave their fifteen minutes and are happy on benefits. It would be nice if they balanced it and showed people who through no fault of their own ended up on benefits but trying to get back to work.

Won't hold my breath though!

In Southampton local Paper a freedom on information request said

Children were taken into care because of poverty .

Ther is no answer

you can say they are work shy benefit scroungers

Or you can say they are a hardworking family

My dad worked hard when he was building up the family business, he would go and clean windows in the morning and then offices in the night .

He worked I saw him work hard and now I work hard

If I want something I work for it .

I wonder if I would have felt the same if my parents were on benefits

Btw I bought my kid up from 9 months as with most men in my situation I kept working
