Losing tools

Why is it, despite the fact I am very careful with my tools no matter how hard I try I keep losing my fucking Stanley knife?

I always end up with my beaten up old standby, buy a new one within a week or two, vanished!

Anyone else always losing a certain tool/or important thing they use daily.

Wouldn't mind if there were still reasonably cheap but most are pretty expensive.

Cheapo wickes one's aside.

I just buy the £1 shop multipacks of cheap craft blades - one in each drawer, car, toolkit - always have one to hand, use once and throw away when knackered

Get one of those retracting string things, attach Stanley knife to one end and tape onto belt. You'll never lose it again.
