The only way they could stop it altogether, would be to close down the site.

How would they know someone is fake? What information would you give and where is the line for you?
They ask people to photo verify, that is optional.
There is member to member (oo er missus) verification system.
There is a report button and photos from elsewhere have been removed.
It's the internet, it's free unless you choose to pay the supporter fee, it's for adults.
I don't need a nanny.

Can they not look at email addresses and see or ask why they keep changing username but keep same email , it must flag up somewhere? |

Actually, what do you mean by fake?
There will be a person at the end of the profile. It may not be the person who are expecting but it's a person, albeit a liar.

It's not just this site, every site has its share of fakers. Maybe more because the site's totally free to use but still.........they're everywhere. Best not let it grind ya down. Block, report, next. Simples |

What do you think?
What more could they do besides removing profiles when they are reported. A single report isn't going to work as people would report out of spite. It takes time to work properly.

They do their best once people report, assuming the person is a fake and not just being reported for not answering a mail etc etc |

Slightly different, but I mailed a new profile yesterday and got a response offering me sex for money. I reported it and it was gone in a few hours. It does demonstrate they review feedback.
As regards fakes, I am unsure what fab does re: IP addresses but I have seen other sites I use monitor IP addresses rather than just usernames.
Again I am not saying fab do or dont do this, I just dont know. |

Yes. If you report a profile you think may be fake they will look into it and if there's any evidence they will throw them off the site. |

You can reset your router and pull a different IP address so it won't always work blocking an IP address. |

No they do not do enough twice now I have gone to meet a couple and have only been greated with a single male, the female did not exist I hqve reported the profiles on several occasions but there still in here a more red blooded male would hqve knocked seven bells out if them and probably rightly so. |

Don't forget there has to be some sort of proof before Admin will act, otherwise we could all make up accusations and there would be no one left on the site if Admin didn't look for proof.
I will paste onto the next post what Admin say they do with reports and put this one to bed. |

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.
******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).
Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.
Admin
PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.
Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

Your feedback has been saved.
A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.
By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.****** |
