Jump to: Newest in thread
Hi all.
A quick update on what happened last night at Haldon/Mamhead or known as obelisk.
Homophobic attach happened on myself last night By 8 blokes in 3 cars, i have serious injuries to my head needing 6 stitches with multiple bruises over body caused by baseball bat or metal bar with rest of the lads using bottles!!
They used the words you gay faggot before attacking me and our obiviously planning to attack anyone who is LBGT or straight.
Please be aware me and my partner are working with the police to catch the people who did this and have been told today that as from tonight there will be an increased police presence up at Haldon ie 3 police cars and 6 police officers, they have told me to make you all aware in the LGBT or straight community they are not there to target us but are there to catch these lads who did this to me before they target someone else.
Please all be safe out there and myself and A hope to see you all soon. xxx.
Ps if you need any more info then please message me. |

The original post in the Lounge seems to have been removed. I'm guessing that's because it is duplicated on another forum. Duplicate threads are usually removed.
If a thread is removed then there would have been a reason. Posting it again may not be the best idea.

when these thugs get caught, and I am sure the Police will genuinely do their utmost to trace them, the Judges these days will throw the book at them, times and attitudes have changed, except for the few ( probably closet gays themselves ). It amazes me why some feel obliged to attack others for something they supposedly don't agree with. I guarantee the assailants would not to the same if the gay guys were built like brick houses, and loads of them. The attackers are cowards, and as I said, often believed to be suppressed gays themselves. |

Hi there.
@ _urgyeFind
Yes i agree with you comments.
To put matters straight myself and my partner are both bi but we have many friends in the LGBT community and this message was a warning for tonight and on-wards as some maybe should not be at the dogging sites mentioned.
I am a very well built security officer/cp and was lucky to be able to deal with the situation, some of our friends may not have been so lucky as probable half the size.
All stay safe.

Thanks for the warning! Unfortunately this crap goes on over here too. To think that I've had someone I love experience the same crime makes my blood boil! I feel for you. Take care and have a good recovery! |

From someone in the vicinity of the Admiral Duncan pub bombing - which is something I'll never forget, I am intolerant of any hate crime.
Wishing you op a good rest and recovery.
Of anyone sees suspicious activity, it's worth keeping a notebook to write car registration info down. I'm thinking more bystanders, than attached victims. |

Does it really matter what happened to a post and where it was posted?
Point is the poor guy was attacked and is just trying to make everyone in Fabland aware of why there may be increased Police presence in a particular area.
Hope you get better soon and I hope they catch the misinformed, morons that carried out the attack before they do it to someone else.

I was trying to warn him of the rules.
Reposting a post that has been removed is not a good idea. Posting to complain about the moderators and demand answers of them is not a good idea.
I'm sure everyone is grateful for the warning but it's a good idea to stick to the rules.
Reposting something that has been removed is likely to get the poster a forum timeout. So yes, it probably does matter. |

You have warned him of the rules - quite a few times I see! I have to agree with the, so what does it really matter, remark. The thread was posted twice, yes there are rules, let those who have agreed to be moderators sort the rules out, you've highlighted it, more than once!

Remember these callous people don't just harm LGBT people. The bombing I saw at the gay bar in Soho killed straight and people with other sexualities.
You can be in the wrong place at the wrong time. That horrifyingly loud bomb has left me with permanent damage. And the carnage of blood soaked and injured people is something that my straight girlfriend - who I was with - and I, carry with us forever.
Never tolerate hate crimes or snide remarks etc at work or elsewhere. It may seem harmless but tolerance of it helps people think that hating others is ok. |

I've had a couple of run ins myself with lads and baseball bats but always managed to get out of being beaten senseless
I hope you recover soon and they catch your attackers quickly
Don't let them put you off enjoying yourself there the ones with the problem |

Yes, you're quite right. Once he ignored the first warning, I should have let him get on with it, although my subsequent posts were responses to comments and questions directed at me.
I can see why he's angry and wants to get this message out. I expressed my sympathy on one of his posts that got deleted.
Hate crime is intolerable and I hope the perpetrators are caught and have the book thrown at them. |

To be fair it wasn't posted just twice and why the question was probably asked of why do you keep posting it. This thread has the most replies on so stayed.
Everyone has to stick to the forum rules whatever the subject. |
