Just got off the phone with my ex who had been trying to track down thebox of LEGO he ordered for a Christmas present for the winks, and he has been told that someone signed for it in his building on the 19th! It was delivered about 5 minutes after he left to come to mine to pick up the winks and was home 20 minutes later, so surely whoever signed for it should have then brought it to him, or have left a note on his door saying we signed for your package flat # whatever.. But no, 12 days later and nothing...what kind of a person does that?

check ebay for the item.

thieves sell on it quickly and if you win the auction you'll find out the bastards address.

then you get even or get the police.

well, as it was 10 days ago it would have surely already gone on ebay...but he is going to be calling the cops once he gets a name

Its actually the postman that was in the wrong, he should have left a card through the door to say who had signed for it and where he had left it. If the post office cant find any trace its up to them

Yup, the post office will supply you with a copy of the signature and name that signed for it, although that doesn't mean that whoever signed for it gave their true name, nor made it legible!

.

Ask them for a proof of delivery, which should have the signature on it.

If it not the signtaure of the person who it was entitled for it should be up to the sender to do the chasing.

Your ex can prove this with a copy of his signature.

It is then up to the sender to replace the product. Check with local trading standards or citizens advice.

If IF someone signed for it then it's inconvenient to have to find out who but not all is lost. IF is always a big word tho ..... The post office will have a copy of the sig ..ask for it.

Agree: was just about to type this. Postman/couriers always leave card saying where the package was left.

Doesn't excuse the person who took it though!

it was DHL and he is trying to get it sorted. Yes I agree, that they should have left a paper saying "package left with flat # 6" or whatever.

By (user no longer on site)  over a year ago

sometimes the postman does even bother with the package just puts the fooking card through the door.

ive had that and challenged them on the street but they left the parcel back at the sorting office.

as its dhl they should be able to help you but im sure the person who signed for it would have used your name and not theirs.

id still meat out some justice of your own once you find out who.

if its someone you work with get them sacked for it.

its theft in the eyes of the law and my also include identity theft as they posed as someone which to obtain goods.

DHL always ask people to sign their name plus print it, even if the parcel is going to the right address, I am sure they would notice if they delivered it to a neighbour and the person tried to sign with the same name as on the parcel.

So you are suggesting that violence is the answer yet you say

"

"

So its ok to use violence but not to steal?

people who steal only learn when the hands they use are broken.

they laugh at the poor sentencing handed down to them.

why defend someone who steals? they ruin peoples lives and cause upset.

so fuck em!

I do love an internet warrior....

So there you are, walking past Nat West Bank and minding your own business...

Out run two six foot three robbers with bags of cash, built like the proverbial brick shit houses....

Do you say...."oh here come two robbers, I hate thieves....I'll tackle them and teach them a lesson"

Or do you hide behind the nearest car and think "Feck getting involved....it's only money, and not mine at that"?

In the case of wrong doers and if I am able I will get involved every time, I've had a few kickings and had a few good results, You have to do what you believe in, maybe this country wouldnt be going to the dogs if more stood up and put a stop to crime.

There you go, move the goal posts, You didnt mention any armed robbers. But I have in my time found myself looking down the wrong end of a barrel - it is a sobering thought, right up to the moment I shot him.

Its all to easy to sit there and have a go at 'internet warriors' without having a clue about the person you are having a pop at.

If someone signed for it, the post office must have an address for whoever signed, they arent allowed to leave it with just anyone especially when a signature is required.
