I posted this on Facebook....

"Oh it's GCSE results day, I bet the Acca will be busy tonight"

Is there a nightclub near you that is famous for having kids in it?

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Not that I know of. All the ones near me have door staff and ropes when the club is on. During the day they are just doors next to shops.

Cannock

When I turned 17 used to go in Applejacks in cannock, was where you younger crowd always went. Was later known as the U-bar but I think it's closed down now?

Ugh the acca

I've never been a fan of night clubs, much prefer a real ale house or a dindgy bar, cookies is my favourite place in Halifax

NW London

Once went into a pub near where I lived cos my mate was DJ that night. It was notorious for being underage. It was in the Firkin chain, at twenty years of age I was the oldest in there including the bar staff. Stayed for one quick drink and left. It was raided by the old bill about an hour later and the landlord ended up with a big fine and no licence.

It seems a few years ago it was quite common to be in venues under the age of 18, it seemed to change when Tony Blair's son got picked up d*unk and 16 years old in Leicester Square....

I was in a club in results day.

The dj shouted on the mic "if you've just passed your GSCE's get your hands in the air!

All the underage fuckers got thrown out

Everywhere my children go they need ID for or they aren't let in. Some places take your photo and a photo of your ID too.

Ceredigion / N France

Soton seems full of kids.

Seems difficult to find a place for grown-ups

I heard that 50% of nightclubs have closed down in the last 10 years.

So the kids have certainly got less choice.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I once went to a pub in York where I swear the average age was 14. Its since been remodelled (probably on police advice).

Back when I was 16 I was out clubbing every weekend I kinda lost interest in it after I turned 18. Now I work stopping people like me coming in almost everybody gets Id'd and tbf not that many try it around our way any more

Depends if your a university town or now,

Most university towns let 18 yr olds in pubs etc , but just do challenge 25 in the shops

I think times have changed, back in my day ( I'm 38) I could get into night clubs aged 15, now my son is 21 and looks 21 but he never goes out without his ID just incase, he says he regularly gets checked. I think nightclub owners fear the fine of being caught rather than the profit they make from the under aged.
