Hey fabulous fabbers 
I have been on many dating sites in the past where age plays a great part in selecting a date.
I have been overwhelmed by the views of fabbers where age don't seem to be a great issue.
Is age just a number for you?
What has been your biggest age gap meet?
Do you have a preferred age range?

I don't have a age range and yes age is just a number for me, just be between 18 and 99.
The oldest I seen was 57 so a 24 in age gap and the youngest was 19, just 14 years between us. |

my eldest was 68 he still had lots of life in him!!!and that was last year so 27 year gap my youngest was 23  |

I always preferred older women myself until recently. Since going back to the gym I've been craving some younger flesh, maybe in the 18/19 bracket lol.
So for me I guess age is just a number. |

If you get on well and the chemistry is there then age doesn't matter to me, but then I like the younger guy, I was 55 and he was 23, I totally forgot there was a 32 year age gap! |

Age isn't just a number to me. I am attracted to people around my age. I like the conversation better, and I'm more sexually attracted to them. And if I could never see one phrase in my inbox again it would be "age is just a number."
Give me 20 "fancy a fuck" messages for every "age is just a number" replies and you'd have a deal.

Nah, this isn't my limits. I'm saying 18-65 but it's been a very long time since I met a younger woman. I do think my craving will stick around though but I will meet anyone I fancy and whose company I think I'd enjoy. |

Damn! Biggest age gap I've been in is eight years. Both older and younger. Nothing compared to what I've seen.
I agree. Nothing but a number. Having said that, the reason why it's not an issue is that some age better than others. |

For me age is a frame of mind. I tend to feel more comfortable with younger men.
My youngest was 22 years younger. Oldest was 5 years older. I haven't met anyone from here who is older than me. |

Age is just a number yeah, it isn't even real when you think about it because we're just measuring something.
But people do look different over time, people have different life experiences and attitudes that can be because of the time they were brought up in, and this does affect my selection process. |

Age does matter somewhat but then again one person aged 70 might be very different to another both in looks and personality, also think people shouldn't be quite so strict on age I mean are you really saying somebody aged 40 is ok 1 week but not the next just because they have had a birthday kind of thing |

The only bit of it's just a number is the number bit. Age is about time spent alive, hopefully maturing, changing, having experiences.
All the maturing, changing and having experiences is important to me. It may not be to other people.

I have a ltfb I have been seeing for over 5 years; he is almost 13 years my junior. He has said he will be seeing me for years to come. I'm interested to see how he feels about me aging with my body falling apart. |

Age is just a number, my last long term ex was 8 years younger than me, and one of my meets in a club was a lot older than me, I don't know how much older, but her hair was completely white. Still attractive though |

Age is just a number, my last long term ex was 8 years younger than me, and one of my meets in a club was a lot older than me, I don't know how much older, but her hair was completely white. Still attractive though"
The exception is legal requirements,even if a woman is out in a nightclub, is no guarantee she's over 18. Paranoid maybe, but I don't like unnecessary risks |

Age is important, I thought people chose their age ranges in order to avoid people they find too you or too old. Having said that, I have been tempted on occasion  |

Age is very important to me. I need to be able to communicate with you about more than just sex. I tend to stay away from the under 30 crowd because they tend to text to often |

Yes I have a preferred age range, that includes clubs/parties and outside of this site too. I'd never consider half my age no matter how good looking and/or mature they are. So yes age is definitely a number for me and its of no consequence that I maybe missing out |

I've just turned 45 so feeling a bit worrisome for no particular reason. I don't feel or look 45 I think even though I have grey hair. I have grey eyes too but my underwear is sparkling white. Youngest was 19, oldest 63. I didn't realise she was 19 and the 63 looked 43. |

I prefer my own age or older now, did try younger but found very little in common.
My current lover is 11 years my senior - and he is prefect for me.
Biggest age gaps - 10 yrs younger male, 12 yrs younger female. 28 yrs senior male, 32 yrs senior female. |

When I was dating I had the 10/5 rule. Max of 10 years younger and 5 years older. I found that meant we had things in common.

Whilst I do think age is just a number, a girl I was with recently was 18, it was all going fine, we had some fun, but then she turned really immature about the whole thing when she decided she wanted to get back with her 30 year old ex. The oldest I've been with was +25, absolutely no dramas and a pleasure to be with |

I turned 51 this year and yes that extra year has made difference as now outside even more age groups. I've sexy little 27 old friend she just loves older men so it's not all bad. |

Fem here, I tended to go for younger than me, ok my guy is younger but he doesn't look his age, tbh first time I me him I thought he was early 40s and he was 50. I've had guys years younger than him that couldn't keep up with him. So don't look at an age, look at the attitude and libido. And I'm a much younger looking 56 year old.
The one question I dread being asked is "How old do you think I am".

I always seem to go for older men in my private life, not on purpose it just happens. My ex husband was 23 years older than me with a son a year older than I am. My current partner is 15 years older than me and you can't really tell - he's more fun than men my age yet is mature too it's nice. My fella might be 42 but he goes to the gym daily, plays sport, eats healthily and keeps himself dressed smart with a fantastic attitude. I don't really mind what age someone is when swinging it's how they've let themselves age and looked after themselves. |

No it isn't. I may not be able to tell if someone is 35 or 37 in a club, but I can tell if someone is old enough that I no longer feel attracted to them, or if the conversation is lagging because of a lack of shared interest.

Age isn't a number, it is a state of mind.
Mrs ddc knows at least one very immature elderly gent (me!) and we have met people very much younger than us. What matters most to us is mainly a mental connection, though an ability to appreciate both a proper cup of tea, and the time when music had a proper beat, always helps

I had a thought once that I should grow up and start seeing men my own age or a bit older. There I was sat in a pub with a very nice man wishing I was somewhere else. I persevered because he was quite young at heart but,in the end I felt like I wasn't being myself around him,for fear of being called an idiot,so I called it a day. I think younger men kiss much nicer,and I love a nice kiss. |

To admit my age gap would probably class me as a Granny basher however a challenge was set and a bet was made and laid, I was 21 she was a lot older, I mean a lot lol. Bless her soul guarantee she is with the angels now and with a smile on her face. Looking back it was pretty sick, however got to love Scotland. |

Right, I understood your question. Of course I wouldn't ask, but as indicated in my original response, which was left out when someone quoted only part of it, I can tell if someone is old enough that I am no longer attracted to them, thus making age more than just a number.
