i'll be staying in Manchester City Centre this coming Wednesday (19th Aug) and I currently two rooms booked but will be cancelling one!

I currently have a Travelodge booked and the Britannia near Picadilly Gardens. These were in my budget and close to the stations so I booked them. Others seem pretty far out to walk to with a suitcase. Basically wondering if anyone could advice me which one to go for as I would want people to able to get to my room with easy access (Not being stopped. No cards needed for stairs or lifts etc) which I suspect Travelodge would be harder but I wonder if you can still get into the Britannia late at night.

Any advice or information would be most valued x

I think you'll need some sort of card for a travelodge, though it's easy to leave your spare on reception when you check in. Britannia I've never stayed there sorry

Cheers anyway. Why I'm thinking of cancelling Travelodge cus u tend to need a card to get upstairs even during the day. Don't think Britannia is like that but there's a chance u may need to at night. Reckon I should cancel Travelodge then and stick to B x

manchester & NI

I have no idea about the guest routines/policies of these hotels, but they're central, close to Piccadilly station and cheap.

Ibis (there are 2 in the city centre)

Pendulum

Premier Inn Piccadilly

New Union (edge of the village, I'm sure they're used to obvious sex)

The britania is horrid the rooms are - just - shitty as fuck. You have to upgrade to get one with a window. It depends on your budget but to save yourself moving around look at the Atrium. Last time I was there advanced bookings were £65 per night. Spacious apartments, maybe a 10 min walk down Portland st (past the Britania and left down whitworth st) It is at the end of Canal st and the gay village.

Haha unfortunately I have a room with no windows but will only be in the room for sex and sleep as I'll be out and about too lol. Will Defo look at into the atrium. Is that easy access then? X
