From doing any housework
I came home from work lastlast night and the hubby told me proud as punch that as he was at loose end until the darts started he did the hoovering and washing.
He had made an all right job of the hoovering so I asked him if he hung the washing out on the line. No its still in the machine he says.
I went to the kitchen to empty the machine and was surprised to find it empty. On mentioning this to him he came through and opened the tumble dryer. He had put the washing in there and and thrown washing powder in throw the door and switched it on for 20 minutes |

I banned someone I was with from cooking. He did himself a pizza read on the box "remove outer packaging" so took it out the box and left it in the plastic and on the polystyrene disc and put it in the oven. The smell of burning plastic, pizza and polystyrene took weeks to go lol |

"HUGE tip for husbands not to be asked to do houseworks in the future. "
the trick is to deliberately make a complete dogs ear of any domestic chores so you're never trusted to do them again
Not that I'd ever do that of course... |

Don't fall for that.
They pretend so that they don't have to do it again. Seems you fell for it too.
Tell him how pleased you are and that he's fucking amazing. Then show him which 'washing machine' to put it in.

Seems like result for hubby....mine once put washing up liquid in the dishwasher because he couldn't find the tablets. It's amazing how quickly he learnt to do that job correctly |

Clearly he is advanced and two steps ahead in stead of the average one. |

That is the problem. If he did his share he'd at least know how to fend for himself. This way he is dependent on you. If you have sons I hope you'll take a different approach with them. |

Mr N and I have an arrangement that works very well for both of us. Whoever is out of the house the most hours does the least housework and whoever cooks doesn't wash up. Currently it's me who is away from home the longest so I come home to a clean home and dinner cooking and when the boots on the other foot I return the favour. |

But it is my brlief that is my domain, doing the housework and if I dont I am failing as a wife. This probably comes from both of us having a Romany upbringing. |

And we all have to start somewhere! Good on him for having a go.
I remember doing my first load of laundry after moving out of home. I was relieved the washing machine was in a little room off the kitchen and not in the shared kitchen cos I had to stare at it for ages to work out what setting seemed appropriate - the controls were very different to the one at my family home! Even after much deliberation I got the powder in the wrong bit of the tray and had to scoop it over with my hands!
For someone who's upbringing means he never even looked at the washer let alone got shown what to do the boy done good. Just a little gentle guidance next time
Oh, and what couple doesn't love a "you'll never guess what my lovely other half did..." story |

If he could fit, he should be bundled into each machine, and given a spin, to help get his mind a bit clearer about the difference between them.
Meanwhile, 500 lines whilst in detention, and make him separate all the clothes for a year, into appropriate colours, fabrics etc. Plus all ironing forever. |

Fair play to him for having a go, my oh wouldnt know how to use the washing machine, let alone attempt it, as I insist he stays away, but if im ill, nothing gets done at all, cant even get a cuppa lol. He does hoover better than me though. |

To all who say he has played me well or he did it do he wouldn't be asked again that is not the case.
I never sdked him to do it and never would. I believe it is a womans job to do the housework snd cooking and cleaning and I am hsppy to do so. I feel I would be failing as a wife if I didn't which comes from our Romany upbringing.
He would not expect me to do the gsrden, the decorating or service the cars so why should I expect him to do the housework.
The fsct that the wasing mschine is hidden in one of the kitchen units whereas thr tumble dryer is in the annex beside the deep freezer probably contributed to his mistake. |

You have a set up that works for you and makes you both happy, that's not as common as you think there are loads of couples who have huge resentments around does what in the house.......good on him for trying but I agree best he sticks to what he knows best . |
