Newcastle and Gateshead

this is a one off tonight.... villa vs man u.... but as of next season, friday night premier league football becomes a regular thing as there will be around 10 games per season as part of the next packages...

still getting use to the idea... but its going to play havoc with me swinging time!!!

so how do you fans of lower league teams deal with it.....

It should be enshrined in law that all football games other then Sunday league matches KO either 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon or 7:30 on Wednesday evenings...

I have spoken and this is the only right answer...

I personally wouldn't mind Friday night games as I only go the home games and it would be a good way to end the working week for me, But I hate Monday and Sunday games,

Having to go straight to bed after the game on a Monday and I like to rest and eat my roast dinner on a Sunday which I don't have if I go the game

As much footie as possible, please - as my son is playing away, and we can't go to the live game, will have to make do with the TV, boo boo

I've always thought that Friday night football makes a lot more sense than Monday night football to be honest, in fact my team likes to play a few games on a Friday night (granted they're not on TV) as the crowd is always decent and atmosphere good.

The danger is there will become a point when saturation point is reached and people will start to get fed up of it (some already are, of course!). The real risk is Saturday 3pm kick offs live on TV (already the Premier League Sat 3pms are broadcast live outside the UK) - if that ever happens in the UK it'll be the death knell of the lower leagues

Rather Friday than Monday or Sunday.

Then again TV schedules dont normally have an impact on Bristol Rovers!

You can't ever get enough of it, instead it gets better the more there is -- think about the world cup and certain competitions, I find myself drawn in more and more, the more that is going on - we are talking about football here, aren't we?
