. when I were a lad, we had sink holes in us school playground bigger than that... Luxury... We had sink holes in sink holes, took 4 days just to climb over it... Oooo you lucky bastard,I had six sink holes in me ouse one were in me sink... Luxury my sink ole was me ouse, lived in it man and boy along with me next door neighbours |

On Google Earth you can see big cracks in the road where the hole now is, the cracks are all around a drain cover.
Just what Manchester traffic needs.
And with many roads closed over the bank holiday weekend for pride it'll be interesting to see what happens if people can't use Mancunian Way. |

rain water culvert runs under the road there before it flows into the river Medlock 50 yds away suspect this is blocked again and the result is its collapsed and scoured the soil away beneath the road . was on manchester road in newton heath this morning found a four foot drain cover missing from the middle of the road .found it 150 yards down the pavement never underestimate the power of nature |
