The lesser book that was made into a film ,you could say The Running Man (Arnie), or just book and that could be The body but some might know it better as Stand by Me.

Duma Key is also a very good one. Stephen King went off the boil for a bit replaced by Dean Koontz for me ... Some of koontz early work is amazing.

Without knowing much about Kings work, the dark tower series?

I came across it by fluke and it looks like more of a personal goal to do rather than to make money so I'd guess it wouldn't be well known.

I agree his books seem more interesting, king for me seems to go around the houses to get to a point, I thought IT was a long overdrawn read

Although Koontz has been off the ball for a few years too, I suppose every book can't be a must read. My favourite Koontz books are The Bad Place and The Watchers

I've read at least 10 Koontz books but alas my tinnitus won't allow me to read anymore but phantoms was great and the watchers? Was that about a creature?

The watchers was about 2 Labradors and the bad place was a bizarre one which I couldn't possibly explain without spoilers!!

I used to read loads of Stephen King but after googling his bibliography, I realised I'd missed loads of his work and also not read anything for ages. "Cell" is missed by lots of people but my favourite is probably a toss up between "The Stand" or The Talisman"

Needful things, the tommyknockers, both good reads in my opinion.

He did go off the boil for a while, but has written some good ones lately. Revival, Mr Mercedes, finders keepers are all worth a go.

Still waiting for the much talked about necroscope movie.

Daniel Radcliffe would make a very good Harry keogh, and when he changes bodies I think Tom Hiddleston could take over.

I could see those two in the roles, although I always pictured Harry a little older than Radcliffe

I'll be honest I didn't really "get" the gunslinger so never bothered with the rest

They are worth the effort, and you will start to see a very faint story arc that takes in aspects of a lot of his other works.
