It's a bugger trying to find any documentation on ordinary people before Elizabethan times. |

I don't know much about my family it fascinates me though as I know my name come from Scotland and I could find out my dad's side but my mums side is a messy story to try and organise, her dad died when she was young, I don't know anymore about him than that as nan has now passed too. |

Yes mine were all soldiers and navy served in the british army for hundred of years very proud of that my mums side were all land owners in ireland got back as far 1520. |
