We remember being here (Dumfries) about 20 years ago and being struck by the magical charm of this beautiful town. Now it's a high street full of charity shops and multiples, Very sad.indistinguishable from any small town in the UK. Very sad. |

We went down to Southerness. Decided not to have a drink in the John Paul Jones Hotel though! Had a wonderfully memorable dinner at a private supper club near New Abbey though. All is well with the world again. |
