If you asked them, (I have on occasion), they would probably say, 'Don't ask, don't get. It was worth a try'.
It's not an attitude I understand myself but maybe guys think differently.
I read a study a while ago that said men will apply for a job if they have 40% of the requirements, whereas women tend to only apply for jobs where they have 100% of the requirements, or exceed what is being asked for. |

You can set filters on your profile to a certain degree to rule out certain groups in terms of gender or certain age groups. I see you've not been on the site long so good luck with it and enjoy the site and make the most of the features and tools the site provides to make your experience here more enjoyable..   |

Before I came out, I had to apply filters for peace and quiet. Some people just see a picture and go for it. That was my style once upon a time, however, I also had to lie about my age at the time lol |

Your age range states 18-99
Yet in your profile text it states
18-35 for single guys.
I mailed cos I cone under the first preference and I red your original profile.
Maybe clarify that point and you won't have idiots mailing you xxx |

I've also cam across many profiles that express a want for a specific type of guy etc..
If I fall into that category I do get a bit miffed when my message is simply deleted and I don't even get a no thanks reply..
Just shows that some people don't know what they want |

Or that some people can't understand that even though someone may think they fit specified criteria, someone else may not agree.
Or perhaps you do fit the criteria but they just don't fancy you.
Defining characteristics you tend to like doesn't mean you'll fancy everyone with those characteristics, not even if they have all of them. |

90% of the messages/Winks I used to receive were from Woman who didn't meet my preference, I used to ignore the winks but send a polite no thank you message back to the messages,
Obviously not in the numbers Women receive but I still got them |

OP is a newbie to the site, only been on here a couple of weeks, maybe she needs some time to settle in and get used to how the site works before tweaking profile. I often chop and change little bits of mine and I've been on here over a year now. |
