little house on the praire

My stepdad has spent weeks redoing the pond as it desperately needed doing, while he was doing it noticed the fish where disappearing, thought it was a heron so put a net over it and still each morning they where going until down to two.

The mystery continued until he was talking to the man at the other end of the street.

His fish disappeared as well but he caught the culprit, a bloody otter, apparently it's been in lots of gardens in their street as people have been finding its poo, any way it must be a fat otter stealing everyone's fish.

But now the pond is finished it has no fish in it

Poor fish I expect the otter is happy though, although he's going to need to find another pond now.

We drove near Ayr the other day. There was a road sign saying to watch out for otters. Didn't see a single one, I was gutted. Love otters.
