Does anyone else ever use this function?
I've used it twice this morning... once randomly looking for an old thread (I failed) and the second time cause I had a question about Depo injections... I got the answer so I didn't bother starting another thread about it.
Do you think the forums would die a death if those 'I can't get a meet/single bashing/name and shame/what's wrong with my profile etc. thread starters looked to see what previous advice was given and didn't bother to start a new thread about their particular experience?
Would the Lounge just fill up with 'shag the person above' and 'what's for dinner' threads instead?
Would we all be pink and fluffy and never rip the piss out of the new folks? One massive clique of loveliness?

I use the search sometimes and have found it quite good...you have to be inventive about what to put in engine though...can't be too precise or won't bring anything up, but find it good generally.
I know what you mean though |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
"I've tried search a few times with mixed results.
I find if the thread title doesn't always relate to the topic you're a tad screwed!
And not in a good way?! "
I can often remember the post but not the thread it was on and I never remember what the threads are called. |

"I think it would be handy to be able to "tag" posts we're interested in and be able to search for threads we've started.
I agree.
We also need a like post button."

I do wish people would make more use of it, I personally think originality is a very attractive thing.
If I feel the need to start a thread then I’ll search for it or anything similar before starting one, we, as a community really should be thinking of the environment more and recycling all we can |

I've actually just used it because having a debate with a friend about clubs charging more for guys and sex equality. I've given up listening to his reasons to just sent him forum links instead |

I love forum search.
An improvement to prevent some duplicate posts could be the system suggesting duplicates, once a few words are entered. Snog, fuck etc could be cut down, with people just adding to the open threads. Less threads must save money |
