Hi everyone, could anybody please recommend a good mosquito spray, every time I go on holiday I get nibbled and they swell up go away next week and keen to avoid it!

My family has always had great success with taking garlic capsules or brewers yeast in large doses before and during a holiday.

The mozzies hate the smell.

They can't stand limonene that is found in citrus peel. There is a lemon lotion that you can get from Turkish barbers (I've seen it in supermarkets too), that definitely helps, and you won't choke yourself to death putting it in like you do with the spray on ones.

Drink plenty of gin and tonic too!

Get some of those wristbands that have deet or some such impregnated in them. They are very good. Only down side is that they tend to mask the owners Chanel #5!

There is some body cream from Avon that app works wonders but I've forgot the name.It isn't for repelling bugs but works wonders so ive been informed.

Bear Grylls advises the liberal application of mud. You might look a bit odd, but you won't get bitten.

Avon stuff didn't work for me, got bit loads before I even left the Uk! Bought some stuff from boots with a high deet content and wasn't bitten once in Zante, but wear summot over ya face as you can hardly breathe when you spray it on!
