I saw a post (on a popular social networking site) the other day saying every couple should swap phones for 24hrs no passwords or anything, and they guarantee around 90% of them would be single after 1 day. I was probably 1 of the ones who would be single because... well I'm a flirt! (Single now for different reasons though)
What are people's opinions on this?

My husband can get into my phone and read what he likes
I have nothing to hide
He knows the majority of people I speak to are men and that I'm likely to be arranging meets ,talking filth or sending naughty pics |

I'm not a single male....so clearly not your targeted audience. However, Marc and I often do swap phones when one of ours dies or for any other number of reasons. We don't hide anything from each other.
However, I suspect you are right. Though, it goes out to a number of the "single" women on here (and in the "real" world) too so maybe singling out the men is a tad unfair?

I'm a single woman and I wouldn't give anyone my phone without deleting the majority of its contents and warning some of my contacts not to get in touch. |

I've nowt to hide. I do sometimes get inappropriate texts, but that's people from the past. He enjoys checking my profile here, and rewriting my profile. |

I'm sure you're right, but I'm sure there's a large number of truthful men, too.
I've been thrown the ol' "You can't accommodate... is that because you live with your girlfriend?" a few times. It's a shame, since I only actually live with family (not quite as exciting) - but many people just don't believe single guys.
Just try to vet and pick out those who you feel could be hiding things - if it bothers you, that is. |

"single with a partner.... right.
There are thousands on here "
If they are on here they aren't going to have an issue with pics msgs etc on their 'partners' phone.
Either that or they aren't single. |

It don't bother me just food for thought. And whoever pointed out women cheat too I'm sorry I discriminated against my own! It's true women do cheat most of my exes are testament to that! But I can't change the title of the thread sorry |

"90% guaranteed 'eh.
So far no one posting on here has fallen into that statistic.....
But people are hardly going to say yep I'm busted are they?"
No but people so far on here all have declared they have nothing to hide & we all know that's not true & some are happy to say.
I just wonder what a true indication the statistic is, seems very high to me that's all.

Well your post title is erroneous.
If they are single males- who are they going to swap phones with???
And as others have said, this doesn't just apply to men. |

Kitty could have my phone whenever she liked. Texts about work. Texts from the ex about my daughter. Phone calls are the same. Think kittys would make more interesting reading as she talks to our meets and prospective meets more then me |

"Not a chance in hell would I let anyone look through my phone. "
That's pretty much my view too. Not that I have anything to hide as such and nor would I if I were in a relationship. However, there are emails etc. in my accounts that I never delete and I feel as though that's private stuff and not for the consumption of someone else. Conversations I have with my friends are private.
It's all about trust. I wouldn't feel the need to look through my partner's phone because if I didn't trust him, I wouldn't be with him. |

This for me as well ^^
I don't understand the fascination with other people's private data. If you're looking to catch another person out it might be a good time to start looking at your relationship.

I had my ex's phone all night once. I wasn't even tempted to look at it. If I asked him questions he'd answer them honestly. |

If I was in a relationship I'd be happy swapping phones, but then I wouldn't be on here, especially if I had kids and I was hiding anything. I wouldn't look through phones though if I was content and secure, if I was tempted to 'snoop' I'd be out of the door.
I suspect a lot of people on here probably aren't giving their full picture but that's like anything online I imagine. |
