tomtom navigation device. if it gives 3 months free speed camera's what happens after the 3 months, do you just get no more updates or does it stop working all together,

I can save £40 if I don't go for life time speed camera's, I only ever once done the speed camera's on my old unit, and never passed a static camera that my unit hadn't warned me about.

Edinburgh

Stick to the speed limits and you'll not only save the 40 quid but the fine and points on your licence too.

When buying a satnav, my purchase would be ruled by area coverage... the law is the same across the country.

Are you not better off getting something on your mobile? The google map app seems great from what I've seen.

Did I mention doing that

I am perfectly capable of pre-planning a route and remembering it. If at any point I forget any of that information, it's quite easy to pull over at the side of the road and refresh ma memory

I got a SatNav last year as I was working in Bristol. I did manage to stop using it to find my way to work and for the journey back home to London but it has made me lazy when I go somewhere new.

The ex has been coming to my home for over years and he still needs the SatNav to find it.

I use that and its okay, gets me where I want to go and sometimes the quickest route, adjusts itself if I start going a way I know. I find the pronunciation of road names funny though 'Birkall Avenue' instead of 'Birchall Avenue'

Just used to write out the road numbers, and arrows for turnings. Tape it to the tank/tank bag and away I'd go.

Another thing about driving slower. You're less likely to kill someone.

Some of us think this is more important than 40 quid
