I recently had a great meeting with someone I'd been hoping to meet , he visits a club.
Now I see there's another verification that sounds like a warning , has anyone else come across this type of behaviour before?
I'm more or less being told to butt out as they want him to themselves |

Lots of verifications say things like can't wait to see again and he's all mine crap !
Take what you read with a pinch of salt
They aren't going to say
Shit shag hope I don't have to see them again.

it hasn't happened to us but I have seen it. It manifests itself in many ways "treat him/her with respect" is the most common with "until next time sweetie" running a close second there are loads of othr subtle and not so subtle territory marking
methods it goes on in the forums too. |

I would say, don't worry about how other people think you should live your life. Unless it's the guys wife, them what happens between you and him is of no concern for anyone else. Just ignore the verification and carry on as you both see fit.

Having just followed the verification trail yours for him sounds more like what you're describing abovr than the one I think your actually referring to...unless that has been hidden?
I think most have had a pissing contest at some point on here and it's a great ego boost for the recipient, but not quite in the essence of swinging. We can also read something and have a different take on the content than the next person.
Take it with a pinch of salt and don't let it worry you unless of course you are being harassed directly x |

He was friends with them before me and it forms a major part of his social life, if it had been me I would have asked that they tone it down a bit |

Ok. To me it reads like territory marking, unfortunately intent and tone don't come across in the written word. |

Is this about the 'we intend to keep him lol' line?
If so, it looks a good recommendation with a jokey response about keeping him. Yes, text can come across in different ways to different people, hence the use of the safety smiley or in this case the word 'lol'. |

Not quite sure which one of his veri's is telling you to butt out. Perhaps it's how your reading it? Just a thought. I wouldn't worry at all. He clearly had a great time with you so just enjoy xxxx |

This is a swinging site which means that (most) people are here for no strings sex with more than one partner. Therefore nobody should get territorial or possessive or jealous if someone they've met also meets others (and that they like them!)
And I've had a look and if the veri's currently on display are those you're talking about (both yours and theirs) then I can't see any others on theirs offering warnings or any more 'possessive' than your veri to them to be honest (they may not be displaying the offending veri you're talking about though).
I'm probably wrong here but it seems to me as an independent party looking in that you were smitten with this guy and so you're possibly over thinking the subtext behind other veri's a little?
This should be fun, don't let jealousy or other people let your fun on this site be diminished. You have a great connection with this guy and others do too - it's what the lifestyle is about!

I can understand that but why not say "it was a decent meet and I would like to see them again"? The treat them with respect line is a tacit warning in my _iew. I accept that saying "until next time" can mean just that. |

Until next time is fine.....I often see meets again....some have become regular or occasional repeat friends. But no jealousy at all.....its a swinging site ffs . No-one on here should be or expect to be exclusive. |

On a slightly different subject, does anyone else find the 'treat with respect' I'm very respectful ' type comments odd?

I never once said on the veri, any of the above or that we would see each other again, that Would be for private discussion
Men have , in previous veris said the 'treat her with respect ' thing , but then I sure they're stuck for something else to say

Yes, hence my assumption that the person saying it feels some sort of responsibility or ownership. |

If I see a verification like that, I will smile, shake my head and ignore. I will meet who I want to meet. I must say though that I tend not to be attracted to the sort of guy that has those sort of verifications.....I prefer mine more NSA and they prefer the non-clingy/territorial type of woman |

I don't find that, I've had that on a few veris - it's usually from people who are just uncomfortable writing veris and don't know what to say, so end up with cliches. Once it was from a friend who I'd just been telling how badly someone had treated me, but it was purely out of kindness rather than possessiveness. |

Petty jealousy and territory marking is pretty common on here and other similar sites. We've been 'warned' off a few people (usually single men but also the odd couple) either after we've met them or in one case because I had replied to a forum thread of his.
It tends to make us chuckle more than anything else. |

Veris are veris. Some people get stuck what to write so revert to clichés. I've written a veri chock full of them in the past (the recipient did get the inherent joke). I think if people trusted their own judgement all a veri is for is to tell you that person exists. The content doesn't really matter in the slightest since every meet is unique. |

We did a social with 4 guys before our first mmf. The first guy we met got jealous when the second guy posted the veri from his social, and even more so the third and fourth. When we got the veri from the actual mmf from one of the other guys (he didn't know it but it was a close choice between him and the other guy) he unfriended us on here and on kik. We planned to play with him a few weeks later all being well but he took himself right out of the equation. He was that jealous before we'd played, dread to think what it would have been like after. |

That's what I was trying to highlight, the fact we can all read the written word in different ways.
I've left an OTT veri in the past whilst basking in that post meet haze. I meant every word but the next day i thought hmmmm...maybe a bit much.
He liked it tho so all was good. |

more so if they have had a wee fall out and they then compete to outdo each other and rope any new partner into the games.

Haha this made me chuckle. I did Write something similar on a guys verification when I first joined. But he has left now. He was such a selfish man in the bedroom that in the end I ask him to get dressed and leave. I didn't verify him. But a few weeks passed and he asked me to verify him as he wasn't getting any meets. Me being me I verified him and spike the truth. Oops naughty I know but I was still seething from the meet. He wasn't happy but at least he got the green tick
"
