I've never seen a football match, traveklled to France to watch England play Rugby though.
Gigs, Glasgow a few times is the furthest in the UK, Paris and Amsterdam aere the only places in Europe. I know someone that came from Australia when Carter USM reformed in 2007 |

Although I didn't travel there specifically to see them, I saw Starship in Phoenix Arizona in 1986, and Jean Michel Jarre at the Olympic Stadium, Barcelona in 1993.
For a football match, I would say either Plymouth or Carlisle |

Probably not the furthest but one year when jamiroquai were doing a UK tour I got to see them 3 times in as many days. I won 2 tickets in a competition to see them at Cardiff, got 2 tickets for my birthday to see them in brum and my brother also got me 2 tickets to see them in Newcastle. Lots of travelling about but all 3 gigs were completely different |

Went to Cologne to see ZZ Top in the early 80s. I have seen a few football games abroad, but actually travelling as an away fan was probably going to Ayr United to see Bristol Rovers in a pre season friendly.

Saw Chelsea win the cu winners cup in Stockholm in 1998, when I still used to watch footy.
Been to a lot of euro gigs, The Mission in Holland/Germany/France (1 show cancelled on arrival), seen Maiden in south of France, Queen/MArillion in Germany, Motorhead in France, plus a couple for the euro Monsters of Rock shows in early 90s. Been lucky enough to see some US/Canadaina shows too but that was the luck of rightplace/right time thing.
To the chap that saw Kansas Cheifs, my brother is a Redskins fanclub member since the 80s and won a VIP gameday pass last year, had to stump up airfare but they paid hotel and met players etc, had a brilliant time |

"Amsterdam to see tiesto, also arnham to see tiesto
an jaabers utrecht in Amsterdam to go to trance energy " There's no better buzz than going to see someone you love abroad actually! A regret I have is we went Tenerife and David Guetta was on at the football stadium and my 5 year old was desperate to go but he wasn't on stage til about 2am! Could hear it from the hotel, you just know DG can cut it live! |
