I used to love games, but have gone right off them these days, it feels like with the constant huge budgets and chasing ever greater sales figures, and the charts dominated by the same old same old Assassins Creeds, Call of Duties and licensed sports games, the 'soul' of gaming is dying and they're just not much fun anymore. |

Previous partner got me into Resident Evil 4. I'm working my way through it on professional mode now and I've only died 50 times! (3 months ago I screamed (literally) every time I went round a corner just in case there was a zombie there!
I got a ps2 for my birthday so I've got a couple of gtas, and I've started on Silent hill2, but the controls aren't as intuitive as RE4,Christ I need to get laid. |

Great to see I'm not the only one on here
Seen some awesome games mentioned too, and some I refuse to play (Resident Evil/Silent Hill - never make it out from behind the sofa)
But I have to say that my fav game atm has to be Borderlands
Is it weird though that I like playing as the female characters? |

Erm, does my singing monsters count? My tribal island is called 'anyone can join' so join that if anyone plays this game.
I also like castle clash. I need friends on dragonvale too.
Might as well ask in here... |

Borderlands is a great game.
I've been playing video games since the 1980's, love them but don't play as much as I used to. Wanting to get an xbox one and the new star wars battlefront game looks awesome. Still got my xbox 360 though and got Halo reach, Gears of war 3 and crackdown 2 to play before I trade it in. |

Once you get past the AhH ZOMBIES and work out how to deal with them, it becomes a lot easier. I suppose ill have to teach you the professional ways I'll even lend you my kick ass gun, which MOWS DOWN the enemies before you've even started which also takes a lot of the fear out |

I'm back on wow after a 6 month break. Really I came back because I miss the guild. WoD is and was a terrible expansion.

World of Tanks is, currently, my only game installed.
Things are likely to change when a liquid cooled 2TB Raid 0 three video output monster arrives next week.
My order for the Steam Box and controller is pending.

Killing all the bastards before they get near you definitely takes away the fear but wouldn't that take away part of the games ideals? |

I've been a huge gamer ever since I can remember. Only just got round to finishing "A Nest of Vipers"- Episode 5 in Telltale Games' "Game of Thrones" series. Fantastic ending from a fairly out of sorts episode.
Give me anything with a killer storyline and gameplay and I'm all over it. |

"about to start my own game development company and yeah i play too "
I've been doing amateur theatre (musicals and plays) since I was thirteen. If you ever need any free voice acting, I'll be happy to help out, I'd love to work on a game! |

I've got an Xbox 360 kinect and a Wii which have both been in their boxes on a shelf for 2 years.
I keep meaning to get them out and set them up but I've got too much else I should be doing instead. |

PC gamers are spoiled rotten for indie games, far from the boring AAA retreads. If you have a PC and Steam try looking at Rock, Paper, Shotgun's list of recommendations. I still pick up the occasional AAA title that grabs my fancy but otherwise most games I play are indie titles or Early Access titles that look to be introducing interesting new gaming mechanics or use actual narrative to tell stories.

Playing The Last of us remastered on the PS4 very immersive and hours of gameplay left.
Have The Order lined up to play which comes recommended. Little bit of Victorian gothic and steam punk. |

I like the X-Com UFO games for PC but they're so old I don't have a PC that they'll run on now.
I've got an old pentium here and some older components - soundcard, VGA card etc. - with the intention of putting together a system to run my older games. When I get round to it (probably never). |

"Are there many on here?
Yup, my dissertation is on videogame theory as well.
Have you read Tynan Sylvester's book?"
No, my angle is a little more specialist than that. I write about videogame criticism using art historical methodologies. |

"Dam theres alot of you one console I haven't heard mentioned though is the Xbox one does anyone have one?"
I waited for the expected sub-£300 price drop and, now, I'm going to wait for the post-Christmas sale.

I play second life sometimes. Not played it for a while so forgot about it. You can find me dancing with guys in the industrial clubs there and trying to chat with germans. |
