I'm 40 in Sept trouble is I don't have a clue what to do for it
I'm not into massive parties n sad as it sounds I don't have many friends
I do go to jaydees occasionally so I could go there I guess
Any other suggestions appreciated

birthday party which im aware of was down at milton keynes
alot from another site went to it and all had a good time down there or up there in many a persons case
the club where it was held was loverly and there is a hotel straight across from it
the club had a nice log wood fire in it and was loverly and warm to say it was in an outside part of the building |

My boys want me to have a party for mine next April. I've done the costings & decided I'd be better off going for a really nice meal, some special days out with the boys & getting someone in to decorate for me. Oh and a girlie weekend away! I'm not feeling brave enough for a club yet.

Well for starters give up swinging, as apparently being over 40 is worse than having the plague on here.
Then you attend parties and see people who are very clearly in their 50's claiming to be 39.
So my advice.
Don't turn 40 stay 39 forever.
Or start gathering dust in the swinging cupboard.

Age is but a number. Remember you'll be one day older on your birthday than the day before, not a year!
I went away on a break for my 40th, had a nice meal. Then normal life resumed again and it was pretty much the same as it was previously!
Celebrate how you want to rather than how others want you to, a party, a holiday, a small intimate dinner or nothing special at all! |
