Just wondering the percentage of people on FAB who are also on "traditional" dating sites and looking for a relationship ?

I use them.
I am not after 'dates'
I am not after a relationship.
I enjoy building friendships; some of which involve sex.
Over the years I have built up a wide circle of friends from various walks.
Some you can mix some you can't but every aspect of socialising is catered for in this way.
The reason we stay friends is because we don't have to live together. No stress about bills, chairs, sides of beds, mess.

Sometimes I get that twinge of "maybe I could be happy in a vanilla relationship" and then I think back to being in a vanilla relationship, and it soon passes, I was married to the most wonderful woman I have ever met, she was a real catch, and it was one of those times when you say "it's not you, it's me" she was so fantastic I tried to fight my inner desires for 13 years before calling it a day so she could find a worthy partner, and she did.
It would be a waste of time being on a vanilla site for me, because I could never meet any woman on there's expectations, I like my life the way it is, and I value my freedom, if I was to be in a relationship, it would be with a like minded lady, who wants the same thing I want, to not be tied into a relationship by financial ties and duty, there are a lot of people on there who want to have a fresh start, move in together, get married, possibly have more kids, none of that speaks to me
God I went on a bit there lol |

I've done the dating sites and given up on them, lol! I still have a couple of profiles up but it's very rare I get contacted by anyone I'm even remotely interested in and I never go looking! There are much more interesting people on here. |

I'm on a few of the different dating sites. One profile is a less x rated version of this profile.
For me at least a lot of the people on dating sites id say perhaps 5% locally are on here as well as said dating site.
I'm not necessarily looking for a relationship however am open to something developing with someone who has similar sexual tastes.  |

I joined one the other week after people where talking about it.
Have absolutley no intention of meeting anyone from there, only went to nosey profiles.
But internet dating is the way forward, when I was single my mother tried her best to force me on them by saying she would pay
I've had two relationships that I met via the internet but not dating sites both lasted 18 months.
The idea of me ever wanting to date if anything happened to jay is alien to me.
But where do you go these days to meet people if your to old to party and club etc?
There is a hypercritical part of me that still thinks youngsters should be out and about enjoying themselves not sat on a computer, but I blame that on my age |

ive been on the fish one and have seen same girls on adult one, only seen about 3 a couple even use similar pics, as for internet dating it is the place to meet, i can remember the eighties, when pubs had people in them and a lot of clubs have closed, so people dont seem to socialise as much |

I've been on dating sites and have to say, I beleive they are this under a different guise.
At least here I know what the primary reason for contact is.
If something on here turned into something else , then we would have to be at the same stage at the same time , leave, or decide to carry on together, but if the worst happened and that couldn't be agreed , the. The relationship wouldn't be going anywhere. |

I used to be on a traditional dating site and also one that was advertised as being adult dating. I had dates from both sites but found that I got more replies on the traditional site. I agree there is no stigma attached now. |
