Really painful. Between ulcers from the wire and brackets rubbing to the pain of the teeth moving I hated the whole thing
Love my teeth now and I don't have to visit the hygienist every 3 months as I can get in to clean my own properly now. Improved my gum health completely.
My top were always straight to look at but the curve was flattened so needed adjusting to allow the space to pull my bottom ones into position.
Well worth the money and the pain purely for the improvement to my gums with the added bonus of looking better too
I lost brackets by eating stupid things and you will get loads of movement initially but the finishing can take some time for the stubborn ones.
Finally getting them off and voting an apple again was well worth it. I recommend taking bonjella, the wax to cover your brackets, and a tooth brush with you at all times though |

Clear on top metal on bottom. Wouldn't recommend clear though. Couldn't eat curries or drink red wine. Cost more too and were still completely noticeable. If I had my time again I'd only do metal. |

I got fast braces rather than normal ones so couldn't change much with the elastics. Although if you do lose one then a loom band hook is the perfect tool to put it back on.
Kissing was awful. Bjs fine as long as I didn't have a mouth full of ulcers or hadn't just been in for them tightened.
Fast braces tighten every 3 weeks though but I only had them in 8 months. Tbh I didn't feel like much a lot. I spent a lot of time in pain. |

A couple of my friends have had them - 1 Invisalign, 1 full metal - both wish they'd done it years ago. My 13 yr old & his cousin both have them now but we had to beg for the funding. Took a while for them to realise better now than when older |

Ahh I see. I have to go back every 6 weeks so hence the longer time with them. Kissing I expected to be different but as long as it's not too bad and I get used to it. Bj's well that's a bonus if it's no different. Happy days yaaay |
