New hairdresser

My longstanding hairdresser is poorly and had to cancel my appt today, with our schedules she can't fit me in for a few weeks so I'm being brave and trying a new place. (Been with her for 7 yrs)

So how badly can they colour my hair? Was going to go lighter but I'm now scared to change it in case they turn me brassy or yellow

Am I being too much of a scaredy cat, in this day and age are they all trained well or what can I ask for that's easy?

I'm brown with highlights usually but pale skin so can look off if the tone is wrong...

'A few weeks' doesn't seem too long to wait for who/ what you want.

I've seen some poor styles and tears and like to stay with those who give me what I like and ask for. Rather than a creative interpretation of what they would have preferred I ask for.

My hair was so badly damaged during colouring once that before the week was out I went from very long hair to a bob because it kept breaking.

I've had some really bad hair cuts over the years... Could never bring myself to let anyone lose with colour! Why not just have a trim and wait for your lady x

I don't think i'd have gasped louder than I just did if you tole me you were having a major op !

I live in fear of my hair dresser kicking the bucket or moving.

All selfish reasons of course.

Omg you guys are not helping. I'm in here now!

Can't wait. Away this weekend and bad roots and ends going brassy so needs something

Surely it can't be worse than what I have

Glad it's worked out and sorry if we added to anxieties.
