The public should be boosting their vitamin D intake with supplements because of a lack of bright sunshine in the UK, government health experts have suggested.
The bleak British weather is stopping much of the population from receiving healthy amounts of the essential vitamin from sunlight and natural food sources alone are not enough to boost levels, they added. |

I'm not sure I agree. I think a lot has to do with a change in lifestyle so less exposed to the sun rather than our weather... and that's a northerner talking |

Been on vitamin D for a while.
When I worked, longer working hours in a windowless shop meant I barely ever saw bloody daylight.
Now I'm not working I try and get out as much as possible but bloods were still coming up with low vitamin D, so being pregnant, take extra supplements for now.
