It's not going to be the same top gear, the one I know is gone (to Amazon)
That said I'am interested to see what new top gear will be like, reckon (and hope) it could be good
Think Mike Brewer could make a presenter, on the fence on that one though,
Time will tell, |

Not particularly keen on Evans, but I expect he'll make a good job of it. Lots of people like him and he does know a thing or two about knocking out popular TV shows. |

Did anyone see the latest 2 episodes of Top Gear (Top Gear A to Z). Funny how 12 months after Auntie sacked Clarkson, sorry correction, did not renew his contract, BBC2 is still broadcasting repeats and looking for ways to rehash repeats. LoL |

"So it's coming back with a new face...
Who's excited for it?
Who applied for it?
Who couldn't give two fucks? "
Top Gear is over and it will never ever be the same with Jeremy and the boys , them 3 bounce off each other and from a mechanic/car/garage/workforce perspective that's what's needed and that's what made Top Gear Top Gear
The End |

I don't like Evans and I don't think he's Top Gear material , that show as far as I'm concerned is over |

I think it will crash and burn, Evans has already smashed up a Jag and reports say he is having trouble talking whilst driving. The three musketeers on Prime will be the ones to watch, and on that bombshell I cannot wait. |

Top gear was utter dog shite anyway, getting rid of the fat tosser Clarkson is the best thing the beeb ever did. However, ginger nut ain't much better and tbh it's an extremely tired programme anyway. Can't wait to see what amazon do when they get the viewing figures of 8 or 9 watching fat boy doing the same old tired claptrap as before. Sad and boring. |

its right and in my opinion to fully apreciate Top Gear as it was you also have to be into cars in a way that you strip a v12 with over 300 individual moving parts put it back together and you and your work mates in the garage bounce off the wals when the turn of that key and it fires up and sounds sweet .

i was more into cars as a youth, back when i could look under a bonnet and actually recognise parts....now i lift a bonnet and have no clue what's going on...still loved the programme though, just liked those three being massive kids...they're a good trio of presenters |

To be fair other than the specials I'd stopped watching it regularly even when clarkson was there
As he gets older he'll clearly be less current and valuable as a commodity, the Beeb had the best years of him I think but I think he'll still have some good moments
As for Evans it depends on how funny it is, top gear succeeded not because it told a lot about cars but because it was very well written and acted/ad libbed as a humorous show with cars in, Evans needs to get the writing and filmed actions as good as clarkson and co did |

I don't think the show will last long once the initial "It's back!" viewership starts dwindling.
It'll lose its prime time Sunday spot for sure.
A shame, as the show was entertaining as hell, but nothing lasts forever. Except Corrie and EastEnders haha |

Well I have BBC and an Amazon Prime membership so I'll be watching both. Mind you I have been a car enthusiast for decades so I also watch 5th Gear, Wheeler Dealers, Car SOS and anything else to do with cars. |

^This exactly, I learned to drive in an ex Army Land rover at boarding school. In the CCF, we stripped it down in the Autumn term to every last nut & bolt, built it back up again in the Spring term, then spent all Summer driving it round the school grounds, happy days
If I lifted a bonnet these days with a problem, I'd be more than likely be checking ma wallet to see if I could afford a chap to tell me how much a poxy little bit of electrical equipment would cost to replace
Carry on. As you were. I love Top Gear by the way |

I was tempted by a commaro and started looking on ebay. A guy was selling a recent model cos to tune it one needed a computer with the relevant soft ware. I can't get me legs in a Morgan so it seems I'm fked. |
