we went last night to a recording of the 2nd series of a Radio4 sitcom he stars is; Rudys Records ..
never seen him live before but always thought he was a natural to make peeps laugh ... and by heck was he ... had the whole auditorium in fits ... the writing was excellent too (with a twist in the first episode that fabbies will like)
we've got tickets too for next weekend for next 2 episodes ... hope our sides recover as we laughed so much last night ...
the series won't be broadcast til Feb but will post in here when we know more and recommend its worth a listen |

I met Lenny just before he went on New Faces years and years ago, late 70's. It was at Queen Mary Ballroom in Dudley, which is my home town, as it is Len's.
He was doing impressions of Elvis during disco's by radio DJ Mike Hollis, then going by the name of Oscar Michael. He was Lenny's first manager, I believe |

I won a holiday (along with a few others) to Cancun a few years ago when I worked for the Prudential. The Pru hired him as the nights top act. He was on stage for about 25 minutes and then went. What a waste of time and money that was. Never liked him since. |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |

I saw him Rudy's Records on stage. He's got a great singing voice and his comic timing was spot on.
I like the fact that he has evolved and isn't trying to do the same act forty years on.
