What are the definitions of these sizes, I'm a bit confused and think some of the women are too, I can look at two women calling themselves large and they are both totally different. I also think there is confusion in other areas too. What's going on, help! |

Why are you only questioning women's ability to lable their own size ? |

It's always best to keep posts non gender specific and focus on the pathetic labelling that people are forced to use in their profiling.
That's people or members or fabbites. |

This is the point, people seem to have definitions confused. It's not a problem as such, but some do get shirty about it. |

Nordy. Here are the options available.
Athletic, Slim, Average, Cuddly Ample, Large, Fabulous.
You choose.
Fab did their best.
If one person thinks they are ample and you think they are large it's their perception that goes on the profile but your perception that does the shopping.
e.g Beautiful Vivienne Westwood Dress - translates to me as Fucking hideous floral Sack.
I don't ask the shop why they tried to sell it tho. xx |

Dear Fat Cnut.
I have a 'friend' long term. He has a big belly and I get off on it. The rest of him is meaty and rock solid. He'd put himself down as fat.
Last week he said he's going on a diet and losing his tub.... I near shit! I want that tub.. it's bloody lovely.
BUT - if I get messages from wobbly blokes I say no thanks.....
So there is no such thing as one FAT fits all.

Why must we define and label everything within an inch of its life?
How could we define large? Even using dress sizes, or waist size for men won't tell anyone much. A 5' 8" size 16 will look dramatically different to a 5' 2" size 16.
Obviously people using the same label will look different, unless you think there are only 5 or 6 builds that accurately cover the entire population of the world?
Someone "large" could have broad shoulders, big boobs, a jelly belly but slim hips and legs, like me. Or they could be pear-shaped and have a big bum and thighs. Or they could have hourglass proportions and be large all over. Which ones are not large? And what are they instead?
We all have our own idea of what "large" and "slim" and, usually in the case of men, what "athletic" mean. There's no chance of everyone having the same perspective.
If you can think of a system of descriptions everyone can agree on, go ahead and suggest it to the admins.
Until then, the build field is a guideline only and is subjective.
Look at the photos and/or meet them for a social.
This is hardly rocket science. I don't understand why people get so hung up on it.
Someone seeing themself or describing themself in a way you don't agree with, having seen a few photos of them, doesn't make them wrong. |

Not sure, so I'm confused too, I know I'm not Athletic, but I'm not large or thin, so I put average. It's just a query about definitions, like Granny crumpet said I shouldn't have made it gender specific, I only did that because I like curvy, ample , large women and that was my thought at the time, certainly don't intend to upset anyone. |

No, I understood.
I was just commenting on the label I'd like to be able to use.
I can't understand why it's not blindingly obvious there's no way to accurately describe, at least without some form of 3D modelling, the build of every person on the planet. We're all different. That's obvious, right? Yet this question keeps coming up.

Well why do you think anyone else should be able to define it?
Ample is bigger than average. Large is bigger than ample. You just have to do your best to fit into a handful of one size fits virtually nobody categories. And look at the photos.
Where's the confusion? |

Does it really matter...i like my ladies all shapes & sizes so if they turn out to be more curvier than their photo then its more flesh to have fun with. Enjoy the person not their size. |

Because the scene is built upon the foundation of objectification and classification.
Even 'looking at the photos' (as many have referred to here) reduces the person to a mere object - like a vase or an oil painting.

I agree with you, it's just an enquiry into definitions, as I already said, I should have not made it gender or size specific. |

Imho 'curvy' isn't a size, it's a shape. You can be a curvy size 8 and a curvy size 18.
When it comes to 'large', let's face it, even some men have been known to mis-use it....
If it matters, just ask for a body pic.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I searched for Weeble as an option but it had wobbled off.
3D printer codes with every profile and then we need not bother with the meet.
This weekend I had a social meet telling me that I'm not fat (I am but I dress well) but that I'm not thin. What's the descriptor for that?

"What are the definitions of these sizes, I'm a bit confused and think some of the women are too, I can look at two women calling themselves large and they are both totally different. I also think there is confusion in other areas too. What's going on, help! "
Who knows??
Personally I think we should all (men and ladies) put our height and clothes size , together with a few recent, full length body pictures. Face pics should also be recent!
This would ensure that people actually meet the person they think they're meeting - rather than someone twice the size and 10 years older!!
Many on here actually prefer a curvier, fuller figure - and the fact that I'm an old trout doesn't seem to put many people off - so being honest about your size, appearance etc has to be a good thing - right?? Xx |

Ifbyou can see their pictures what's the issue? Choose the one whose size is more to your liking.
I've run out of energy, please read the thread. "
Ahh poor you lol
I'm pretty sure you have asked a similar question before though op and got similar answers. Definitions are vague at best, much like the VWE or BBC claims made by some. If you like what you see then that's all good. |

"I've put large as there isn't a fat option but I do say in my profile that I'm fat. Everyone can click which option they like as long as they have pics who cares "
You're not large at all. Curvy maybe !! |

I don't think there's anything wrong with putting your body size. I prefer for people to know what they're getting when you knock on their door. However, not all people are honest so you still have to expect nothing like their pics. We had a meet Saturday. I put my hair up. The lady kept saying I looked nothing like my pic. She wasn't disappointed but I felt I'd been dishonest. I've just uploaded a pic of me with my hair up. I have a habit of over thinking stuff |

I had ample,a man said I should change it to curvy. I've put on weight since so I'm going with large. I'm never going to put curvy because my stomach is stretched from childbirth and won't go flat |

no idea.. OP im with you..curious, because i think its subjective perception...how you see yourself (including how you used to be/want to be) vs how others see you (i cant control this this is down to their previous experiences of 'size')
i say i am curvy..
im attracted to ego size and self obsession, and less is more in that regard
but people get shirty about lots of things, cos they want to be... |
