I'm good at the flat pack stuff, unlike guys I read the instructions, put everything in a relevant pile and hey ho, off we go, recently assembled a gas lift bed too,
Last weekend I put a load of Venetian blinds up in my faughters house as her boyfriend is totally incapable and doesn't even want to learn |

Men need to learn these skills! Tell your daughter to get a proper boyfriend! |

ive changed a rented house kitchens often to make them much better

I hate it...
I've two chests of drawers to make..theyve sat here for 4mths..
I have no interest in decorating either...plain walls are good enough for me.. |

I'm *almost* at the end of pretty much totally renovating my house, including replacing the main bathroom (new ceilings, wall out, replumb, rewire, install underfloor heating and a whole new suite- only had the tiling done as i wanted a top end job and my tiling is average)
Then I rebuilt the kitchen and built my own conservatory (kitchen ceiling replaced, more underfloor heating and rewiring etc)
Just finished the main bedroom- removing a wall to build an en-suite and also building partition walls for built in wardrobes.
Not much fazes me now, i've replaced all the gutters and soffits, built decking, built a woodshed from the remains of a bigger shed, painted the entire house exterior, installed windows, replaced drains, rendered exterior walls, installed CCYV and a full cat6 network system......should have the last bits done next year-then i can sell it and start it all again |

Why put in cat6 cabling when one can use AC powerline adapters.? |

I'm a decorator and work on building sites every day! I've re-tiled my bathroom at home, fixed boilers & renovated my own place.
Do I love it? Hell yeah!

I was once asked if I was handy. I said "Yeah I live round the corner". Needless to say DIY is not my thing. It took me 18 months to drill a hole in the wall |

So you dont have a AC power point where you plug whatever device in without the extra hassle of running cables around..

I'm pretty much rebuilding each room, chasing out for cables and/or boarding walls- wheres the hassle running in a cable? they also use no power and rarely go wrong |

ive been saying a few times on the forums that I am building a waterfall feature at a customers house all in stone
if you want to take a look at what I do then a pic is on my profile of the waterfall feature,
It also lights up as well with rotating different colour lights ive also been asked by a garden centre for photos as they have never seen this done before |
