I like a relatively empty beach for myself. For the children, somewhere with plenty to do, a nice sandy beach, places to explore and no rain. I'd like to visit the Lake district without kids one day. I went to Northumberland when I was a kid, the pine forests were beautiful and the air felt so clean and pure. we knew when we got back to London air

Never been but have always fancied Cornwall. Looks lovely from what I've seen.

Crete or LANCASTER

The Lakeland Fells.

Followed by a Lakeland pub,Real Ale,Cumberland Sausage, Sticky Toffee Pudding.

Be there September, when it's quieter.

Catthorpe

Impossible to separate the Northern lakes (Keswick, Buttermere) from Bossiney/Porthcurno in Cornwall because the areas are so different and give us equal amounts of pleasure.
