Like a complete idiot, I've managed to crack three ribs, the nurse at a&e told me to expect 2 weeks of agony, 2 more weeks of pain and a further 2 weeks of discomfort before I get anywhere near back to normal. I have an extremely high pain threshold, but got to say, 2 weeks in, I've never experienced such searing pain in my life. My biggest frustration is that I can't train, tried do do a few simple exercises the other day and collapsed in a pathetic heap, anyone give me an idea when I'll be able get grit my teeth and grow some, without my training (let alone sex) I'm agitated and stressed. What a plonker |

I know how you feel about not being able to train.
I haven't been able to train for the last 60 years or so and i've just melted.
Heartbreaking really.
I'm willing to give you a good going over if you think it will help.

"How the hell did you manage to do that, or shouldn't I ask? "
love to say I fought of a marauding horde to protect the virginity of a fair maiden, or leapt from a burning building to save the life of a small child.... Sadly, I fell on a cast iron garden chair (I did break the chair though) !!! and I thought I was tuff lol |

"Maybe eating horsemeat will allow you to sleep whilst standing up?
Lying in bed was the worst part of it for me."
Yeah, the process of lying down is so painful, I've done it a couple of times with horses. The last time I thought they were just bruised, but it took over 3 months for me to even be able to lie on that side. As I was yanked off my feet by one arm the Doc thinks I probably pulled all the ligaments as they are the only thing that take that long to heal normally.
But I took a dive playing Hippie rounders on Sat, and the same bloody place is hurting again! |

Oh Gentle hug and wishing you a speedy recovery. You didn't say how it happened but if you are doing any full contact sport like mma, kick etc you have to rest it so it heals properly or you will always have a weakness there. Frustrating but in long run its the best. The pain is there to tell you that area is sore! A good idea is Arnica homeopathy, for internal healing. Just a thought. Gentle hug again x |
