So as I have my grandson running around the house, dressed as a ninja turtle , not sure which one.What dress up costumes did you have as a child.I had a Yellow plastic firemans costume that deffinately wouldn't of passed safety checks of today

I don't remember having costumes but I have a totally blinding pic of my big brother wearing a tutu and red lippy. It's on the wall in my living room.

I had a fairy costume complete with silver wand. My sister had a blue one & I had a pink one.

God I can only remember masking my Halloween ones, out of dustbin bags!!! loved it though!

We didn't have a lot of choice back in the day nurse or cowboy so as i wasn't wanting to be Calamity Jane i had a Nurses outfit.....hmmm if only i still had it ...

I never had proper dressing up outfits as such but I had an old bridesmaid dress my mum had worn as a teenager that made me feel like Snow White, a kimono and paper parasol that had been a gift to my nan and a red cape that I could use to be any superhero I invented.

Brilliant imagination is much better than anything. I had a old floppy army hat. I was a soldier, explorer, cowboy and all sorts of other brilliant things . Sticks for guns and swords, heaps if dens in the woods . I was never indoors ... Not much changed really lol ,
