"There's a kid at my daughter's school, no word of a lie, called Kal-El.
Cool or cruel?
Not getting it lol?!!
Kal-El is Superman's Kryptonian's name, if I'm not very much mistaken. "
you fail at life. However you are a burner so I can give you that. Only that. |

Because the kid has to go through school with it, cruel. I'd have thought it would be cooler for the parents to say their kid's called Kal-El |

Triumphant Oghre "
Oh, ooh!
Followed by a finance officer in Lambeth called
Mike Hunt
Funnily enough, he preferred to be called 'Michael' |

At 42 yrs of age i still can't see where my parents got my name from ... Asked them many times when growing up and was always told "We just liked it" .... For me I hated it as a kid simply because there wasn't anybody within 50 miles and up until recently it's became popular ! |

I know a Bodhi as his parents are surfing fans.
Sebastian is one of my favourites.
No laughing but I like Eric.
Some names sound wrong though with certain surnames. Or just don't suit a baby! |

That's very true about a name not suiting a baby. I know of many people who have decided on 1 name and 1 name only way before the birth. I liked Austin, but neither of my boys suited it. |

This boy is albino - his name just cements his uniqueness - he'll never have the chance to enjoy the security of the pack but he'll learn hard and fast that conformity is for cunts. |

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else |
It's time the world reclaimed Adolf as a perfectly good name to give a child. One bad apple should not spoil it for everybody.
Actually, wasn't there a couple in the USA that did, and child services took him away? |

Good sentiments, I was a loner to begin with (nothing unique about me) however it helped in later years as I'd already learnt to know who the cunts are and how to avoid them! |

"I recently saw on a group on Facebook a woman saying 'oh are Isis would love this'...Yes a baby called Isis. "
Why not?
Isis was the principal Egyptian deity in rites connected with the dead - as magical healer, she cured the sick and brought the deceased to life; and as mother, she was a role model for all women.
It's also the name of the dog in Downton Abbey |

There's so many frickin' daft names for kids these days... you've got to be sooo careful.
I was quite pleased with our daughter's name until about 6 months when I realised her initials are S.N.M.

I've called one of my guinea pigs Albanus...it means or derives from a word meaning white as do many 'Al' names. I call him Alby for short. I was almost in fits of giggles when I heard a woman calling for her son Alby in the supermarket.
Also, my best friend is a teacher and she has this little gem. A girl called Re-a. How would you pronounce that do you think?

Or Tostig, for that matter, disappeared from English usage as the name of Harold (Godwinson) I's treacherous brother.
Could be ripe for a come-back? |

Tostig.... Urm no don't think i like that you know! It's got too much of a blunt ending, doesn't quite roll off the tongue.
Harold just reminds me of Hayley off Corrie, or Harold Bishop!
There are no names that really jump out to me, but then I don't plan on having kids so it's not somthing I think of very often! |

I've used old people names for my cats, so that hopefully by the time I have kids I will have got it out of my system and pick something normal
But saying that, I like my name, it's unusual, i just hate spelling it, especially since that bloody Rihanna became famous |

When our daughter was residing in her mummy's tummy I used to shout "hallo Sweetpea, are you ok in there?" and stuff like that.
At the register office we impulsively named her Sweetpea as a middle name.
It has never been a problem for her (luckily she's quite cute) and she even has a discreet tattoo of "Sweepea" (sic)from Popeye.
Good job I didn't refer to her as Jeep or Wimpy lol. |

I nicknamed my god daughter Kiwi before she was born, though I began referring to her as Squish just before she was born. Thankfully her mother didn't take any name inspiration from me |

So is mine and European men often think I'm Greek.
I like Felicity for a girl Fliss for short. Boys are more difficult to name because they get ribbed for a poncy name. |

"Jude? That's number 1 at the minute *NOT MINE*"
The patron saint of lost causes from memory. Always battling for the underdog.
Some people will grow into their names. David, a randy bugger with a thousand wives, Joshua, a fighter, Gideon, a diplomat and so on. |
