Well had my blood test done yesterday because I've not been well only to get a phone call this morning to say my liver us abnormal and that it could be gallstones. So got to have another blood test tomorrow morning and ring back later in the day to get the results.
I'm quite worried as if I do have a gallstone they'd probably have to remove my gall bladder under general anaesthetic and because I'm a fat cunt there's a chance I could die.
Has anyone had their gall bladder removed and all went ok? |

i had my gall bladder out years ago and was back on my feet in two days, dont worry about it xxxx |

Same here, I carry a good few pounds too, out same day, sore for a couple of days, but soon back on my feet, and glad not to be in that pain of stones any longer |

Not had mine out, but was told I might need it once and it would have been as a day patient and only a minor procedure.
You can leave fine without it so don't panic. |

I had my galbladder removed earlier this year... Absolutely no issues with the op, or since. Keyhole surgery leaving 4 very small scars. I had put off going in for the op for almost 2 years... and was left wondering what the hell I had been worried about.
I would have been home the following day, but reacted badly to some of the meds they gave me afterwards so was in hospital a few extra days. |

"Had to call 111 last week as was in hurrendous pain, went to hosp. Gall stones  waiting to have a scan in a few weeks. Have never been in so much pain, wouldn't wish it upon anyone x"
I Suffered for 6 Months Before I had Mine Removed... 
Its Effing Agony, so I sympathise with you and hope you get it done quickly..  |

I suffered for 3 years before I went to the doctor and was referred for general surgery.
It is a relatively simple and very routine operation. I vrry much doubt you will die OP. The pain when you have an attack is many times worse than this simple surgery. |

Gall bladder removal is outpatients op.usually about 2 weeks recovery time if done keyhole.its quite routine these days.try not to worry,it's not a major op |

It's the anaesthetic that you have more chance of dying from not the fact it's your gall bladder. If they where worried about your weight they would make you lose some before the op.
Last op I had I weighed 21 and 1/2 stone and recovered as well as anyone else.
It's usually up to the anethetist not the surgeon whether they think it's safe to operate

I had mine out years ago and it was fine.
I was a fat fuck at the time (and still am) and it caused no problems at all.
It's not a big deal. It's quick and easy by keyhole surgery. You won't die. |

Yeah I know it's the anesthetic rather than anything else.
That's how much I currently weigh. I hope all goes OK. Just got to wait to see my GP to discuss the options. |
