Can't view big pictures? Meh.
Can't see pm threads? Pfft.
Can't tell how far away people are? Pah.
Can't list 'near me' by preference? Whatever.
Can't spend the day making little notes like some sort of dodgy, secret, jamesbond-esque stalker? Whoa, hang on there a cotton-pickin minute good fella, where's that premium member button again?
Who else uses 'Private Notes'?

"I've never used private notes, what do people write on them"
No idea. My memory's so bad I forget to look at them.
I just like reading posts and going "Ah-ha, your nem iz alzo going in ze book" while Mrs ddc shouts from her sofa "Don't tell him, Pike"

In my head you're in one of those big playpens on the floor with a plastic bowl of cheerios (no milk) accessing the site with a leap pad.
That's what's in my private notes... |

I don't use notes, mainly as I think they're for paid up users.
Would be useful for many reasons, obviously the names as mentioned, also things in common, if you've possibly been messed about but unsure, what photos you've shared, if you ever met with details and more. |

The security on leap pads is not that difficult to crack! |

I do a lot. Makes Mr giggle when he comes across a random note I may have made about someone.
For me it's things like... guy or girl not for me. A note about a status that put me off.. forum post etc x but if its going to be a while before meeting someone I May just make a note to remind myself.
If we met them and never again... That gets noted too x
I have the worlds worst memory |

Must be gutting when it works out at £2.50 a view every two months.

Especially when it turns out it was only Sarah-Jane, so she could send you one of her 'special 24 hour invites' |

i used to use it to jot down the ramblings of opionionated wankers on the forums ... so on the off chance that they mail me looking a meet , I can look back at all the reasons why I will have to say no |

"I do . I copy the repeat messages just to remind myself they said the se last time . Useful i find"
We do this too. I really wish messages would just attach to profiles.
We also note specific things like people's names or whether they have sent face pics (and whether we liked said pics )

We use them to let us know who we've said 'no thanks' to, and who's said 'no thanks' to us.
Would hate to accidentally pester someone who's already knocked us back |

"Put ya hand in ya pocket ta tight git. Its only a 5er "
All right, all right. It's bad enough mrs ddc moaning she can't keep track of her message threads without you giving me grief too!
Trouble is, I've now forgotton what it was I wanted to make a note about
Anyone got any gossip I could write about someone? |

I use the private notes function a fair bit. I'll note things like when I've messaged and they've not replied; if we've chatted and it tailed off before a meet could be planned; if we chatted and they bored or offended me; if they've sent a face pic and I didn't like it; the reason I blocked someone in case I somehow end up on their blocked profile I know why I blocked them, so yeah I use them a just a little |

private notes are great... I tend to use them for evil!!!
they are very theraputic in getting rid of angst and putting down how you really think of people.. and then possibly getting rid of them later...
i said possibly!!! |

I have one standard private note template I use : emailed on (date). No reply / deleted / unread etc
That way I know not to bother people I've contacted again. I don't use private notes for any other reason |

I use mine to make comments about why I think someone might be a tosspot (blocking makes the fact I might think that a little too obvious), I am great with word facts but dates are my Achilles heel so I note birthdays and things, whether it's someone I liked but didn't get a chance to meet yet since saved messages only go back so far. That kind of thing. Oh, and I have private notes on my own profile as well for the stuff that's Fab not user specific. |

"Where do I find private notes???? Looked can't see anywhere??"
I only ever use the mobile version of this site so have no idea about the desktop site. But if you're on a phone then in the persons profile, click on 'menu' at the top then 'your private notes' appears |

That option has just GOT to be more than £2.50/month
.
You lot are so much better at this than us, despite us using them, we still spent much of yesterday arguing "no, weren't they the ones who...",
"no, that was ---, these ones were the ones where we..."

we aren't always online together so for couples private notes are useful, one of us might get a message of interest or see a profile and we'll make a note on it so the other can read it when they're online. we don't write nasty stuff on them LOL |
