Anne Widdecombe now that was a feminist who decided that she was going to go out and get her hands dirty competing with men on equal terms and head butted her way through the glass ceiling.
Nowadays they just write it on a blog. |

Put simply, feminists are people who try to acknowledge inequality based on gender and try to prevent or stop it.
Feminists are NOT man haters.
Many of my male friends, being strong confident males are feminists.
There isn't one type of feminsim nor one defintion.
Radical, Cultural, Social, New Wave... are all feminist movements sharing some goals but differing in some details.
In the simplest form I can muster. Feminists wont see a woman put down simply because she's a woman.
Put people down for their faults as a person yes but lay the blame at their door based on their gender. No.

Feminism is the ideology that women should be equal to men. It has a different definition to different people because it's all about personal experiences. I am a feminist and always have been. |

I was in a bar a few weeks ago.
A cheeky young lady stood next to me, smiled and said,
"Are you going to buy me a drink?"
I told her,
"No I'm a feminist, you ought to buy me one."
She didn't like that. |

"Men being equal to women in what way? not being belittled by women, not having to put up with unwanted groping or unwanted crutch staring "
But men are also belittled by women, groped and have their crotches stared at by women. Feminism seems to be just another word for revenge in many cases. |

The basic idea of Feminism revolves around the principle that just because human bodies are designed to perform certain procreative functions, biological elements need not dictate intellectual and social functions, capabilities, and rights. |
