. . .boxing classed as a sport? I dont get it, two grown men punching the sh*t out of each other. (oh and obvs women do box too).
Its just about to start on ch 5 and I wonder will there ever be a point when it is no longer acceptable to class it as a sport? I do not question the fitness level or committment, but isnt it just pure violence towards another human being. Surely it isnt just me that cringes when I see someone get puched so hard there face explodes.
Just saying, lol. Think im having a Tango sugar rush

"Work??
"
Yeah , and bloody hard work too .
Making weight , maintaining strength , keeping fit , you wouldn't believe how much hard work is involved in professional boxing . |

All sport can be defined as displaced actual combat.
And I supposed it better that 2 people beat each other's brains out in the ring in the name of martial excellence, or that 22 over-paid men charge about after an imitation inflatable pig's bladder in international competitions than individuals, towns or tribes or countries do it for real.
Boxing's still fuckin' pointless imo.
Fencing, on the other hand... |

So boxing is barbaric, hmm ok, boxing has very little to do with violence surprisingly enough, it's about pure competition, two men competing against each other |

Amateur boxing is relatively safe. It promotes self control and discipline as well as strength, agility, controlled agfression and much more. A great sport for youngsters |
