where to go in Manchester

Hi, I'm on a meet in Manchester this weekend. We're going to have a night out just wonder if anyone has any recommendations where to go. We were hoping to find a pub with karaoke at some point and somewhere with live music. I know there must be tonnes of places, I just don't know where to start looking.

Black dog bowling is well worth a visit too. Theres one just of oxfor road and one in bottom of afflecks palace in the northern quarter

Try Efes on Princess St. ? It's not karaoke but its a great belly dancing dining restaurant.

You gotta get down canal st...was at my 1st Sparkle there 2weeks ago the place was buzzing...never been there before...or properly outside dressed femme.

Wasnt sure about the 'gay village'but now its just know as village and everyone goes down there for the buzzing atmosphere.Bars and clubs to suit everyone from Via to Molly House to Napoleans....see,be seen,enjoy
